Good point. Anybody polling a bit higher than 2%?

It'd be a joke if the outcome weren't so dire?

Why are we wasting our time with such low-lifes as Perry? Can not the Republic find candidates of sufficient quality? Or are we doomed to perpetuate the perpetual mantra of "Hail, Ceasar! We elect the!" by the soldierary and the Senate rubber-stamps it all and all and all and each and every stinkin' time until they burn themselves into the ground.

While it may be akin to magnesium flare, but after it burns out, then what?

The historian Candidus was more specific regarding expenditures: "Leo Makellos ("the Butcher"), who ruled after Marcian, lavished limitless money on the expedition against the Vandals. For, as those who administered these things reveal, 47,000 pounds of gold were raised through the prefects, 17,000 pounds of gold through the count of the treasury, and 700,000 pounds of silver, apart from adequate amounts raised from the public funds and from the emperor Anthemius" (fr.2: Gordon trans., p.121).
Procopius also provides an account of the assembly of the Byzantine fleet:
"And the emperor Leo, wishing to punish the Vandals... was gathering an army against them, and they say that this army amounted to about 100,000 men. And he collected a fleet of ships from the whole of the eastern Mediterranean, showing great generosity to both soldiers and sailors, for he feared lest from a parsimonious policy some obstacle might arise to hinder him in his desire to carry out his punishment of the barbarians. Therefore, they say, 1,300 centenaria were expended by him to no purpose" (Bellum Vandalicum 6.1-2: Dewing trans., p.55).
There are some other things too (but its too late).

Rasmussen has Time-warp Perry at 2% in NH——and when these ads run, he’ll be at 1%.......or even lower. ROTFL.

<><> Ad vowing China will not go Communist under his watch.

<><> Ad promising to give Merck a $100 million federal grant to research a vaccine to wipeout diptheria in our time.

<><> Ad warning that he’s spittin’ mad about the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.

THERE’S NOBODY HOME IN RICKSVILLE That look on Perry’s vacant, craggy face is priceless——captured in all its dumbness. ROTFL-—ONE OF YOUR BEST, MONK.

You’d think a guy who ran for public office nine separate times and once headed the Republican Governors’ Association would know who is eligible to vote.....and the date of election.

(Betcha Perry is grumbling as we type-—lamenting all the 18-year old illegals he could have registered to vote for him.....using multiple identities. ROTFL.)

Don’t forget that Perry now, all of a sudden, will deport all illegal immigrants who get caught!

........all of a sudden (now that airhead Perry finally figured out he was toxic to voters)....Perry announces he will now deport all illegals.....at the very least, those who manage to get caught.......

What goes on in Perry's mind (once in a while), what Perry says, and what Perry does........are three separate things.

Perry makes used car salesmen look like Mother Teresa.

They keep saying this is a gaffe (age and voting date). I do not call it a gaffe. He was reading from the script. He seriously thinks this. Why are they tying to give him a pass and say it is a gaffe?????

*** THERE’S NOBODY HOME IN RICKSVILLE ***

Now, now. Let's be kind to Cowboy Rick. He forgot the voting age was 18 because he's just plum tuckered out. He's been on a six month cattle drive up the Chisholm Trail.

The word is he even had to hang four rustlers, really. No kidding.

;-)

Only diehard Perry fanatics consider this a gaffe. The voting public disagrees.

It was most telling at the last debate——after Perry pontificated his well-rehearsed circa 1928 positions, he would look out into the crowd——expectantly waiting for applause——like all the other candifdates were getting.

Perry waited, listened-—and heard dead silence.

The most recent Rasmussen poll in NH (11/28) has Perry at 2%.
With a margin of error of 4%, Rick might not have any supporters at all... not even himself!

Per SD
This is just how Rick Perry is. After Hurricane Ike devastated my community, he came here to survey the damage. He did not just walk through here surrounded by security and news cameras and then make a speech. That's not Perry. He showed up in jeans and a work shirt, no cameras, no press conference, and he walked among all of us who had been hit. A hug, a pat on the shoulder, a listening ear, and an encouraging word. He saw to it that emergency shelters were being set up and food and water were available to everyone. When Obama/FEMA refused to help us, Governor Perry set up state funding to help us rebuild our homes and our lives. My home is at 'ground zero' where Ike came ashore. We all took tremendous damage. FEMA sent me a check two months later for $600 dollars. Governor Perry set up the Recovery Fund to help us all rebuild. That is what a true leader and a true Christian does. That's my Governor! I can't wait to see America under the caring wing of Rick Perry.

In the nineties, Mr. Nussle’s current wife was working for Mr. Gingrich; while Mr. Gingrich’s current wife was working for a committee which Mr. Nussle served on in the House of Representatives. Furthermore, both men were married when they began affairs with each other’s staff members – all while Mr. Gingrich was leading the investigation into Bill Clinton’s extramarital affair with Monica Lewinsky. This is an unfortunate irony.

Yuck!

So south40 now that Cain is done where will you go? Will you continue to jump threads about 2% Perry?

Who will you back now? Santorum? Some people put waaaay too much emotional interest in seeing Perry fail instead of their candidate succeed and that is always a losing strategy.

Herman Cain will be gone before Perry. Now what?

I am sitting here laughing my ass of at you 3. You spent so much time trying to tear Perry down yet your flavor of the week will be gone by weeks end.

Where will you go? Will we still have to endure you hijacking Perry threads when he is at 2%?

You should all concentrate on whether you want Newt "the era of Reagan is over" Gingrich or Mitt "you need someone like me in there" Romney.

This is too good and couldn't have happened to a nicer group of coconuts.
