Reid, if you look in the shredder next to your desk you'll find the debt ceiling bill the House has already passed and sent to you.

They'll just take a finance bill the House has already passed, delete the entire text and add what they are working on now - just like they did with Obamacare.

The mask is slipping form the DC Political media machine. The truth is coming out. This is why Progressive Facists in the 0-bot media are in hysteria today
The big DC political machine lie of this whole thing is the GOP needs a bill.
NO, the 0 Democrats need a bill. They are the party of spend. They are the ones who have to go to the voters in 2012 and defend their total mishandling of the economy for the last 4 years.
The GOP candidate in 2012 is going to be running against DC. The 2012 election will be a referendum on 0s Presidency.
Time for people to quit buying the propaganda fed them by the DNC Media-Political machine, the 0 Dems, not the GOP, will be hurt the worst by a failure to strike a deal.
Here what you do GOP, you tell the Senate “Sorry but all your Debt bills are D.O.A. CCB was the compromise, if you want a bill, there it is.”.

Wow...Did we get setup or what?? The fact that Obama had a 2 minute speech this AM kinda confirms it.
I think the Tea Parties have a bit to learn.

Dont all finance bills have to originate in the House...? I am thinking the same. But RATS are involved, so rules do not matter.

Like it or not, Reid cannot do anything wo the house. Under the Constitution, both houses must recon a bill. It cannot be passed onto the pres otherwise.

RE :"
Reids proposal would cut $2.2 trillion in spending and raise the debt ceiling by $2.7 trillion, enough to get past the 2012 elections. The House bill raises the debt ceiling by $900 billion but would raise it again next year by $1.6 trillion if extra deficit reduction is approved by Congress."
Reid's bill, guess he doesnt count votes in the Senate.

I thought those kinds of bills were supposed to originate in the House.

This was Obama’s and Reid’s plan all along. Delay, demagogue, blame the Republicans up until the last minute and then unload their plan to be hastily passed. I’m at the point where I think the only way we rebuild is to let the entire system collapse.

Time is short, Reid said in remarks on the Senate floor Friday morning
And so is Harry, according to some of those hookers in the pool he swam with as a teen.

they’ve done this before, with obamacare and, I believe, with porkulous
Reid and senate write it, House gets to rubber stamp, president signs, all done very fast and after hours so no one gets to read it
One idiot GOP signs it so it becomes “bipartisan”
stroke of the pen, law of the land

Dont all finance bills have to originate in the House...? The answer I find is "All revenue bills must originate in the House of Representatives".
So the key is that when Reid said hes bringing a bill to raise the U.S. debt ceiling and cut the deficit, THERE MUST BE NO REVENUE IN THE BILL!!!!
