Reid bringing debt-ceiling bill to Senate floor. Says he can’t wait for House bill any longer

I thought those kinds of bills were supposed to originate in the House.

I don’t believe it’s ever happened that the Senate and the house have been split in this fashion.

I'm not so sure that raising the debt ceiling is the same as raising revenues.
