Some are amused, and some are offended, by Donald Trump's wallowing in the depths of birtherism all over TV news. But not Sarah Palin. When asked about Trump's latest cause--tracking down President Obama's birth certificate--Palin said, "More power to him!" Speaking on Fox News, Palin explained that she approved of how Trump is "not just throwing stones, you know, from the sidelines. He's digging in there. He's paying for researchers to know why President Obama would have spent $2 million to not show his birth certificate."

Why would she ‘turn birther’ now? Could it be that she now sees serious money available for serious research on the issue? Beforehand, anyone raising the issue was smothered by money and the media with little chance of success. It is a different situation now, with Trump’s resources.

Donald Trump isn’t in the race to win it...he’s in it to create a sideshow and distract serious voters from the real issues. Trump is really 0bama’s secret weapon in the campaign. He will endear himself to the birthers and wingnuts in our party and will alienate fair-minded, serious voters from the GOP. He and 0bama are probably laughing their asses off at how the nutcases on the far right are flocking to him.

BTW, there is an interesting aspect to Jack Cashill's new book, "Deconstructing Obama," who argues he was in fact born in Hawaii, but under much different circumstances than he or his story claims. Cashill interiewed acquaintances of the mother at the time and claims he was born on Maui so as to hide the fact that he was illegitimate.
Cashill is a good researcher, but that doesn't seem to warrant spending millions of dollars to cover up.
How does one eventually self-natonalize as a U. S. citizen? Is it like those velociraptors in Costa Rica that self-procreated?
She’s not turning birther necessarily, she said that Obama was born in Hawaii but that Donald has a right to spend his money to dig up something that obviously Obama is trying to hide, he spent 2 million dollars keeping people from seeing it, she said many are curious why he is do so........
If I were asked whether or not I believe he was born in Hawaii, I would say:
I have no idea, and what does it matter what I believe? He either was or he wasn’t. He can very simply prove it.

Yeah, I’m sure you have the inside track on Trump and his attempt to ‘distract serious voters from the real issues’. I believe the real issues and serious voters can handle many issues including WTH is this Barry creep and where are his dam records!!!
I have a feeling that Donald Trump already has the evidence of Obama's birth place and the circumstances of the birth and his citizenship. Trump has the resources (money) to dig up any dirt he wanted on anybody he wanted and I think he already has the evidence he needs to back up his statements about the eligibility of Obama.
He is not about to come out of this thing looking like a conspiracy nut and thus I can only conclude that he knows what Obama knows and what Obama knows can hurt him big time.
I have a feeling he is holding his cards close and will spring his evidence when the time is right. I suspect the time will be right after he has a lock on the Republican Nomination. In the interim he is just playing the media for fools. Whatever he has, he is going to keep raising the stakes until Obama finally calls the hand. Only then will Trump show his cards. My guess is that he has the birth records, the transcripts, the student loan applications, the financial records of who paid for Obama's education, the passport information and the information regarding the social security cards. I really don't think he'd be going out in public with these allegations unless he had some substantial evidence that the MSM doesn't have. Like I said, Donald Trump may be a lot of things, but Stupid is not one of them.

No one should be surprised that Sarah Palin is enthusiastically endorsing Donald Trump’s quest for Obama’s LFBC, etc.
The only reason she hasn’t spoken out about the bc issue, is because it’s near-suicide for any real contender for the nomination to do so.
Donald Trump is uniquely positioned to do what he’s doing. He can’t be hurt by the media, and he can’t be hurt politically, for charging in to the bc issue. Not so, for any challenger who honestly stands a chance of being elected president in 2012.
Trump is doing a great service for our country, and for the conservative Republican hopefuls. He’s doing a job that they cannot do. To quote Sarah, “More power to him.”
And what does Donald get out of it? Not buying it. Unlike Obama, Trump cares about America.

Nonetheless, one other possibility is that he is running interference for any prospective republican candidate to get this cleared out of the way and force the issue one way or another.
That would require that he be a solid republican and two, that he want the field cleared for others.
Now, why would you go and hurl an insult like that at someone who has steadfastly opposed Obama from the very outset? Trump is actually late to the party. Sarah Palin has been taking it to Obama relentlessly, when no one else on the right had the guts or intestinal fortitude to do so.
