I have a feeling that Donald Trump already has the evidence of Obama's birth place and the circumstances of the birth and his citizenship. Trump has the resources (money) to dig up any dirt he wanted on anybody he wanted and I think he already has the evidence he needs to back up his statements about the eligibility of Obama.
He is not about to come out of this thing looking like a conspiracy nut and thus I can only conclude that he knows what Obama knows and what Obama knows can hurt him big time.
I have a feeling he is holding his cards close and will spring his evidence when the time is right. I suspect the time will be right after he has a lock on the Republican Nomination. In the interim he is just playing the media for fools. Whatever he has, he is going to keep raising the stakes until Obama finally calls the hand. Only then will Trump show his cards. My guess is that he has the birth records, the transcripts, the student loan applications, the financial records of who paid for Obama's education, the passport information and the information regarding the social security cards. I really don't think he'd be going out in public with these allegations unless he had some substantial evidence that the MSM doesn't have. Like I said, Donald Trump may be a lot of things, but Stupid is not one of them.

Nonetheless, one other possibility is that he is running interference for any prospective republican candidate to get this cleared out of the way and force the issue one way or another.
That would require that he be a solid republican and two, that he want the field cleared for others.
I think the recent revelation concerning the SS card is probably part of his investigation.
