Been to Miami lately? Chicago? Atlanta, you can find plenty of 3rd world conditions right here in the US, believe me.
Some insurance companies are paying for folks to go to India for treatment - cheaper and every bit as good, in some cases, better than you would get stateside.
Time to wise up - the US can be as dangerous as anywhere else in this world - esp if you live in/near bigger cities. And the US doesn't have a lock of good doctors or medicine.
THere are some downsides to living/working as an ex-pat - but it is not the "life in hell" as some would have you beoieve.
It's not for everyone, but don't knock till ya try it - you just might just be surprised.

Costa Rica is gorgeous and wonderful and very inexpensive. Legal Prostitution is not going to be for those old bags and their husbands. Well MAYBE the husbands but I doubt it really.

You have to understand that most people here hardly left their city much less international travel. They have no idea what the world is like.

America is not without problems, and yes, I do complain about them. However, I’ll stay here and work hard to make the best life I can — and to help *solve* the problems rather than running away from them.
I appreciate those who risked their lives for a sovereign America and in many cases laid down their lives for her. Loyalty is the least I can offer.

The corp. a friend works for has plants in Panama and will probably send here there for a few years in the upcoming months. She was balking at the idea. I told her she was crazy as it would be the best vacation she’d ever had and could live like a queen there on her American salary.
They’re probably prettier in Costa Rica anyways
BTW- Its just a couple of rural counties in Nevada, not the whole state and certainly not in Las Vegas.
An American sent on assignment to Panama can expect to live in a simpler but comfortable home with all the American ammenities in a neighborhood as safe or safer than they lived in the US. The main difference for someone making 60-70K per year is that they will now have to suffer witha a cook, a maid and a driver.
