US Muslims find defending themselves exhausting

...

As the profile of American Muslims has been heightened by the 9/11 attacks and subsequent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, many Muslims say they too have been inspired to protect their communities against terrorism. They are becoming more active in civic and political causes and more regularly reach out to law enforcement officials.

"No community is working more diligently than the Muslim community," said Sally Howell, an associate professor at University of Michigan-Dearborn and author of several books and essays on Arabs and Muslims in Detroit.

"Really, there is nobody in our society that is more concerned about this than the Muslim community. There have been instances of this coming from their community and they don't want it to happen."

Emotions were strong in the hearing room in Washington. Framed by photos of the burning World Trade Center and Pentagon, two families argued Islam was responsible for luring young men to become radicals. On the other side, Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison — one of two Muslims in Congress — wept while discussing a Muslim firefighter who died in the attacks.

Jim Riches, a former New York City deputy fire chief whose son, Jimmy, was killed at the trade center, said he believes Muslims can do more.

"All people should be treated the same way, but the Muslim community has to step up," he said. "There are plots being hatched in mosques. It's a major problem. Muslim terrorists are on our soil." A handful of Somali and Muslim community leaders in Minnesota gathered to watch Thursday's hearing, clapping and nodding their heads in agreement when one witness called the proceedings skewed.

What an irritating and infuriating headline. US citizens are becoming exhausted defending their Constitution and the rule, specifically, the enforcement of laws already extant.

At least the muzzies have liberals and the "media" here to stand up for them. They should try being Christians, the liberals and "media" denigrate us every day, and we aren't trying to blow people up or slice their heads off. Go figure.

Maybe they should try to be a Christian in their own muzzie country - then they'd know what real persecution feels like!

Taqiyya is exhausting. Keeping all those lies straight is very difficult work.

In the same way that a fugitive finds being on the run “exhausting”.

Really?

How many radical Imam have the exposed to the police and run out of their mosques?

How many corrupt terrorist funding charities have the blacklisted?

The chief political cause seems to be grievances against the citizens of the United States defense of the homeland for internationally funded (Saudi) radical Islamist ideology.

Yes, DENOUNCE Saudi Arabia's prohibition on all non-muslim faiths. Every muslim bows to the Islamic capital 5 times a day every day and does not speak out against this civil rights injustice.

Clean up your OWN backyard first. THEN I may be willing to hear the arguments that Islam is "tolerant of diversity". Right now the cultural exchange is strictly a one-way steamroller over the rest of the world.

Not too worried about the damnable mooselimbs.
I’m hoping they are fearful always for what another one in their “religon of peace” is going to do.

“top letting them emigrate to the US, period.”

Stop permitting the Saudi government theocracy to fund mosques in the USA. I don’t see anything in the Constitution that permits FOREIGN governments to fund the establishment of religion in America.

2/3 of mosque funding comes from the Saudis. Saudi Arabia seizes and burns Bibles and other non-Islamic religious texts.

It is foolish to be tolerant of rabidly intolerant totalitarians.

He doesn't dare show his tears of joy in public.

I have no sympathy for the plight of Muslims, real or imagined. My only wish this weekend is that that earthquake had hit the Middle East rather than Japan.

Croc tears, not buying it. Consider the tears of the” infidels” who died on 9-11.

Has the good congressman done anything to stanch the hatred coming from his religion, lately?

My sentiments exactly. My people left Ireland four generations ago. I’m not an “Irish-American’’. I’m an American, first, foremost and last.

So the Saracens find defending themselves ‘’exhausting’’? Beats me as to how. I never hear Saracens defending themselves. Or rather I should say, they seem to ‘’defend’’ their right to be intolerant and ‘’offended’’ at every wind that blows and shadow that falls and they seem to ‘’defend’’ their right to kill whom ever they want, when ever they want. I hope they ‘’exhaust’’ themselves to death. Really. To death.

“Saracens’’ That’s what the Crusaders called them as they slaughtered them. Works for me. “Saracen bastards’’.
