Birthers make up the extreme right wing of the extreme right wing of the extremely right wing right wingers.
You just can't get any farther out on the fringes than these folks and still be able to dip a toe in reality.
Birthers make the people who feared the "New World Order," and saw black government helicopters everywhere seem almost normal. Actually, these folks are of a similar mindset, only the conspiracy theory has changed. posted using frpa

Doesn't he realize that by nearly all polls, more than 40% of Americans question Obama's place of birth? That makes up a lot of extreme right wing of the extreme right wingers of the extremely right win right wingers. Doesn't he realize that that makes over 100,000,000 of us?
Why bring this to the table now? Something is up.
Alinsky tactics. Isolating their enemy and ridiculing.
Means we are over the target.
Resident Soetoro has birthers living in his head, rent-free.
They are smart to fight the problem in this way, as they have no evidence to use to defend Obama. When you don’t have evidence, attack the other side.
Time honored technique, and the right one for the situation. Most Americans think birthers are more nuts than 9/11 truthers, so might as well go with it.
Jim Shea is off his rocker, that is what's up.
Hey Stinky. Put up or Shut Up, and go back to Indonesia!
I’m not saying I agree with my take above, just pointing out where Americans are on this question. If you bring this issue up at a typical social event, people will start backing away from you quickly. You’re better off discussing UFOs.
From his bio:
“My philosophy of life is encapsulated in the bumper sticker on the back of my 10-year-old car: “The Dude Abides.” Where do I get my ideas? My wife thinks I should tell people the truth .~.~.
Wow, Jim, you’re really cool. I agree with your wife, I think you should tell the people the truth. Starting with your next column.
No matter how much proof is produced, no matter how many copies of Obama's birth certificate they see...
Doesn't this idiot understand that copies is the issue here!
I could make on my computer a deed to the author's house, with my name as owner, not his, then make a copy of that altered document.
When the author then accept that copied deed as legal and turn his house over to me? Or would he demand to see an original deed stamped with an official seal?
The only way this would "deny him a place" is if he cannot prove he's a natural born citizen.
What's the problem?
If there were a certification procedure for Liberal Mental Disability he would easily qualify.
I bet he's stupid enough to call AEROMAYFLOWER
Exactly.
They haven’t stopped attacking her since 2008. She is one tough lady. She is the one they all fear. That’s how I know she’s the strongest candidate. No doubt about it.
“Birthers make up the extreme right wing of the extreme right wing of the extremely right wing right wingers. You just can’t get any farther out on the fringes than these folks ..”
that would put them about dead center on scale of where this country has gone to
Dude, give it a rest. Just produce all the documentation requested and the issue dies instantly. Do you have something to hide?
OPPS.

I did a search to see what the current poll numbers say. It seems like saying most Americans is an extremly false arguement. I am running into more and more people who are questioning Obama's magical story.
That said, I ran into this "neutral" Washington Compost article from April of last year.
Sizing up the "birthers"
Asked an open-ended question about where President Obama was born, 14 percent of Americans say he was born abroad - giving an incorrect answer that shows how widespread the misunderstanding of his birthplace is nearly a year and a half into his presidency.
Fully 68 percent of those surveyed in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll say, unprompted, that he was born in the United States, including 48 percent who accurately cite Hawaii. Another 9 percent say it's their "best guess" that he was born in this country, bringing the total saying he is U.S.-born to 77 percent. here is the rest... http://voices.washingtonpost.com/behind-the-numbers/2010/05/obama_birthplace.html
How is that for "honest" journalism?
