* State TV says lines to Jordan, Israel affected
* Islamist groups called for pipeline attack - SITE
* Security source say army closes main source of flow

CAIRO, Feb 5 (Reuters) - Saboteurs blew up a pipeline that runs through Egypt's North Sinai and supplies gas to Israel, state television and other sources reported on Saturday.

State TV quoted an official as saying that the "situation is very dangerous and explosions were continuing from one spot to another" along the pipeline.

"It is a big terrorist operation", a state TV reporter said.

A security source said the Egyptian army closed the main source of gas supplying the pipeline.

"The armed forces and the authorities managed to close the main source of flow and are trying to control the fires," the source said.

Israel's National Infrastructure Ministry said it was looking into the incident.

Egypt is a modest gas exporter, using pipelines to export gas to Israel and also to Jordan and other regional states. It also exports via liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities on its north coast, but those are not in the Sinai region.

State television said the pipeline that was attacked supplied both the Israeli and Jordanian gas lines.

If they attack Israel in force, mushrooms will be sprouting all over the Middle East.

Israel had better be planning to retake the Sinai...quickly. The IDF needs to be on the east bank of the Suez.

backed by the far left and Soros too. beck did a program about this and again he uses their signs, their words etc again them. Kristinn on here had a great thread about it too. El Baradi is in Soros's group, so if EL gets in then it means Soros has his puppet control the biggest economy and strongest military in the world and now will control the Suez canal .

Our foreign policy has changed to pissing on allies who has kept peace for decades with Israel and helping , talking to radical muslim groups like MB .

Our biased corrupt media has said nothing, they have reported on nothing and they have even been bringing bread , water, food etc to the protesters, even FOX Palkot left a note wishing them well WTF

Israel will first use small neutron weapons. These will neutralize all the tank crews and the end result will be Israel inheriting 1000 M1A1 tanks. They will quickly establish air superiority and the Egyptian F16 fleet will be hidden as best the Egyptians can as they won’t want to lose them all.

The biggest danger is the massive missile barrage that would come in from all points against Israeli cities. If just one causes massive loss of life or if just one is not conventional then Israel will loose the big nukes against Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Iran. Worldwide economic collapse would soon follow, it would make the great depression look like the good old days.

No, I think it will be what Obama is doing here, little by little.

No, I think it will be what Obama is doing here, and they are doing in Europe.

Little by little, so no huge alarms are raised, taking a few years.

Death by 1000 Cuts.

if the Muslim Brotherhood takes power they will go to war with Israel.

Egypt has 220 F-16’s and 1000 M1 tanks.

Israel will be forced to use nukes.

That is when all ____ breaks loose
__________________

IF — [big “IF”] The Muslim Brotherhood took over Egypt, the next question is, could they get the military to go to war with Israel? After 30 years of peace w/Israel, the Egyptian army is not likely in a big rush to tangle with the IDF again anytime soon. AND, the Egyptian military, despite their reluctance to shoot down the protesters in Tahrir Square, are generally loyal to Mubarak. If they weren’t, he’d have been dead a long time ago. If the Muslim Brotherhood pushed the military to go into a war against Israel that they didn’t want, a scenario just as likely is that the military would overthrown the “Muslim Brotherhood” led government and RE-install a military dictator or junta.

If Egypt DID go to war against Israel, they would NEVER agree to do it alone. It would only happen with some kind of coordination between the newly radicalized Hizbollah-led Government of Lebanon, Syria, Hamas in Gaza and very probably even the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank. And it’s quite likely that Iran would rain down missiles on Israel and perhaps even send naval vessels into the Mediterranean. Jordan may not actively go to war with Israel (they are at “peace”) but they couldn’t be depended upon to STOP any of Israels enemies either. Facing those kinds of odds — and it is practically certain that with Obama in the White House Israel CANNOT rely on us to enter the war on THEIR side, nor will any European nations (like France and Britain re: the 1956 Suez Crisis) because they fear their own huge Muslim immigrant populations.

In such a scenario, it is quite likely that within 12-24 hours, Israel, facing such an onslaught, would have to go “non-conventional.” Israel, given the choice between surrendering their homeland and facing another Holocaust or going nuclear, will certainly choose the latter. If that happens, it will be because the world has FAILED to learn from it’s mistakes Re: the Jews in WWII — and we will have reaped the whirlwind.

If Israel were to unleash their nukes on Egypt,Iran, Syria and possibly Lebanon, then they could handle the Palestinians with conventional forces. And the Palestinians would probably never be a problem again. But who knows WHAT would really happen after the balloons went up? Would China, or Russia retaliate? Would WE?! (It would be our last mistake). No telling....

If they can get other countries to go with them the Egyptian military will think they can actually win. Which happened before. Of course this time they have some good toys, paid for by us.

That's fine as long as we don't depend on Arab oil. Let them have at it.

Until then Israel had better damn well understand CLEARLY that mushrooms over the ME is not in our interest, and they had better understand it now. Our $ 4 billion a year is not welfare and it had better buy us something that protects USA interests. I have no desire in paying $10 for gas just to appease Israel and a pit-bull gone wild.

No entangling alliances because allies can jerk us around and involve us in actions not in our interest. Jefferson said it well. Our politicians in more recent times apparently don't understand, because they have been too busy with their palm up.

Egypt is not the ragtag force they were in the 60’s and 70’s. They have 300 F-16’s and a 1000 M1A1 Abrams tanks. Even a great military like the IDF would have serious problems if the Arabs attacked her in force. Especially a radical Islamic Army. If the Israelis think the end is near, mushrooms will be sprouting all over the Middle East. The Saudis, Jordanians and Syrians know full well the consequences of such an attack. The Israelis will wipe out the Arabs. Plain and simple. I don't blame them one bit. “Never again!”

When you are paying $10 for gas say that. Israel had better kowtow to our interests first.

If Israel’s about to be destroyed, the last thing they will care about is how much Americans will be paying for gas. Especially when they know the US has more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia and it’s our own idiot polls are banning us from drilling for oil.

As an American citizen and vet, the USA is the first thing I’m concerned about, not the last. Israel needs to decide whether they are with us or against us, when it comes to their actions in the ME. There is no in between.

We’ve provided Israel with huge political and financial support over the years and they had damn well better support us. If they go off the deep end without considering the USA interests, I’m for abandoning them.

The Sinai is about tactically the worst place on the face of the Earth that an armored force can travel across to make an attack against a dug-in defender.

If I were an Egyptian tank commander and they told me to saddle up and cross the Sinai to attack Israel, I'd tell them "Yes sir! Just give me a minute to run back to the barracks to get my Jew-killing knife!".

Ten hours later I'd be at my new job driving a taxi cab in Amsterdam under my new fake Turkish identity, selling bootleg DVDs out of the trunk.

Because, you know, FTS.

You're too late. Israel was abandoned by the USA when we elected our Marxist Muslim CIC Barry Soetoro. Barry has made that fact all too clear with his words and deeds for the past two years. Just ask Bibi Netanyahu.
