And I think you well may be correct in your assessment. If your(not yours personally, but the adversary) whole desire is to create chaos, mass casualty, etc. then swoop into control in the aftermath, your proposed scenario works well. If radical islamists want to bring Egypt and others to their knees, starve or kill off 2/3 or more of the population and rule the remnant, then yes that is a strategy.
If you want to take over and retain the bulk of the wealth and infrastructure, maybe not so much.
In any anihilistic approach, there is no room for error. Failure to completely eradicate your opponents sows the seed of your own destruction. Push come to shove, Israel can drop a half-dozen retaliatory nukes and surround themselves in a sea of glass.
Faced with their own extinction, they are prepared to do this. The US is not so determined, I suspect, so the ugly face-to-face, field-by-field scenario may well play out here.
The Egyptian military are non-radical professionals with U.S. training.
The day Israel uses nukes is the day Israel is lost. This is not 1945 with one nuclear power or a vast ocean between the bomb dropper and fall-out.

I’m generally in agreement with you on this. If the MB can manage to take over Egypt, perhaps chanting the theme of “death to Israel” and whipping up a pan-Arab attack with just about every Arab nation over there in on it, thus promising a two-pronged pincer attack upon Israel....it would be a very, very dark situation for Israel. The kicker would be the potential for unifying the Sunni and Shia arms of Islam for the purpose of wiping out Israel as a “rallying cry”.
I agree, Israel would probably be compelled to use nukes at some stage. And, if this really gathers steam as a pan-Arab movement We can know that nobody can be on top of this more than Israel and they have war-gamed this out 2 dozen different ways.

1. The hugh and series number of cancers that were predicted among the Hiroshima/Nagasaki survivors did not materialize.

2. Given the choice of extermination or nuking the Moslims, who would not nuke them?
3. Cancers and other diseases can be dealt with rather more successfully than trying to resurrect dead Jews killed when Libtards didn’t use nukes when they would have prevented Israel being overrun by Sand Savages.
