President Barack Obama and his family are making a rare Sunday trip to church.

Indeed. And speaking of this, never have I seen the Christmas crowd so unruly, inconsiderate, crass and ill-mannered. Last night a very well dressed older couple stomps into Mass about halfway through it. Apparently the geneman was unfamiliar with such things as kneelers, because he let out a low f-bomb after hooking his foot on the one in his pew. He spent the rest of the High Mass growling under his breath until I finally turned and asked him to please be quiet.

Never saw so many people use the general activity of rising for Communion as cover to duck out and go to the opera, dinner, a party, or home to watch TV. better for them not to receive, I suppose.

Haven't felt such animosity inside a church since they started coming to Mass in "Obama 2008" baseball caps a coupla years ago.

It was a glorious celebration, notwithstanding!
