Like Sarah Palin, former Arizona State Sen. Pamela Gorman is a Christ-professing, gun-toting firebrand who took on the Republican Party establishment in her state and who is now under fire both by her party's leadership and by a mocking media.
Gorman is also facing an uphill battle in a crowded field of 10 GOP candidates seeking election to Arizona's third congressional district, a seat held by eight-term Republican John Shadegg. Included among her opponents is Ben Quayle, son of former Vice President Dan Quayle.
A tea-party favorite, Gorman's resumé reads like a conservative wish list: endorsed by Arizona Right to Life, Arizona Tea Party and Concerned Women for America; boasting a 100-percent rating from the National Rifle Association and a 100-percent pro-life rating from Arizona Right to Life PAC; pledging herself to efforts to repeal government-run health care and pledging to assert Israel's "historic right" to live in its land; praised by the presidents of Americans for Tax Reform and National Taxpayers Union; on record as a sponsor of Arizona's controversial SB 1070, which requires state police to assist federal officials in illegal immigration enforcement

Please donate..we need women like this in Congress!!
Its not so wise to challenge the Republican leadership when there’s nine other candidates in the field and you’ll be needing their support and fundraising. Shoulda thought that one thru.
Simple. She wins an endorsement from Cuda, she wins the primary. Let’s hope SarahPac takes notice soon.
I am so sick of the phrase ‘gun-toting’. No one ever uses it except the media, nearly always print.
Could they not just say ‘a gun owner’? ‘Enthusiastic hunter’? ‘Skeet competitor’?
Can the toting business already.
Is Shadegg running for re-election? Does he take tea and crumpets with the RiNO's like Orrin Hatch and Juan McPain? Does he show signs of wanting to "grow" in the eyes of the Washington Post?
If he's conservative and not a revolting RiNO and he's running for re-election, why challenge him?
I'm just asking here. I know Shadegg's name but not the particulars of this race. I see he had a 96% rating from ACU in 2008 and boasts a 98% lifetime rating. Yikes, what's wrong with that?!
Shadegg is NOT running for re-election — he’s quitting when his current term is up. The local Republican and tea-party hopefuls have noticed the massive power vacuum that’s going to be created, and they’re all vying to be the one to replace him.
When can we please get to the FReeper conservatism bash? How about we start explaining that the only way to be elected is to know when to reach across the aisle to reach compromise legislation that all the members of the ruling party think is moderate enough for now for not too many of them to lose the next election?
Can we please have a good old-fashioned FRee Republic throwing of principle under the bus?
Does it apply especially to women, like catfight and of a certain age and tall drink o water? Maybe she carries it in a tote bag.
Journalist: You ever tote a gun, Pamela?
Pamela: I’m packin heat right now, if that’s what you mean.
What in the world ARE you talking about?
I post promoting a true conservative and YOU go off on a rant? Was this aimed at someone else??
