[Article] Gorman is also facing an uphill battle in a crowded field of 10 GOP candidates seeking election to Arizona's third congressional district, a seat held by eight-term Republican John Shadegg.

Is Shadegg running for re-election? Does he take tea and crumpets with the RiNO's like Orrin Hatch and Juan McPain? Does he show signs of wanting to "grow" in the eyes of the Washington Post?

If he's conservative and not a revolting RiNO and he's running for re-election, why challenge him?

I'm just asking here. I know Shadegg's name but not the particulars of this race. I see he had a 96% rating from ACU in 2008 and boasts a 98% lifetime rating. Yikes, what's wrong with that?!

Shadegg is NOT running for re-election — he’s quitting when his current term is up. The local Republican and tea-party hopefuls have noticed the massive power vacuum that’s going to be created, and they’re all vying to be the one to replace him.
