I am so sick of the phrase ‘gun-toting’. No one ever uses it except the media, nearly always print.

Could they not just say ‘a gun owner’? ‘Enthusiastic hunter’? ‘Skeet competitor’?

Can the toting business already.

Does it apply especially to women, like catfight and of a certain age and tall drink o water? Maybe she carries it in a tote bag.

Journalist: You ever tote a gun, Pamela?
Pamela: I’m packin heat right now, if that’s what you mean.
