"Let's just get it out of the way right off that bat that Al Qaeda madmen don't actually want to blast through bridges, skyscrapers, and subways in righteous protest of the First Amendment," an exasperated Katie Paul began her March 23 tirade about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent address to the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
"It's mind-boggling that politicians still consider this nonsense an effective enough talking point as to employ it in their keynote speeches to national audiences--until, that is, you realize they usually only bring it up when they're after something else," the Newsweek reporter added in her The Gaggle blog post, going on to argue Netanyahu's AIPAC speech was just red meat tossed out to a pro-Israel audience to bolster his closed-door meeting with President Obama over the Middle East peace process.

Who is Katie Paul and when did she have her cerebellum operated on?
You’re right Katie...I never liked that line of logic when Bush trotted it out. It is a politically correct argument that avopids the real truth. Al Queda doesn’t hate us because of our freedom, they hate us because their religion tells them to.
Mental disorder.
Sounds like she never had a cerebellum. As brain dead as they come.
Amazing these people can breathe on their own. Baffling stupidity.
Exactly. They hate us because we are infidels.
Oh, now I remember. They publish a weekly pamphlet (once an actual magazine); and they were caught LYING that our U.S. prison guards flushed korans down toilets at Guantanamo.
IIRC, the resulting furor caused riots and deaths, all over a LIE that was trying to discredit our troops ( but ended up characterizing Newsweek)
.
I hope that “witch” gets to know alqueda up close as one of their burka slaves.
They truly are insane.
.
Bacon burgers.
They hate us because we serve bacon burgers.
Really Katie? So do you.
You beat me to it.
Although, as a practical matter, there are some freedoms - like the freedom of religion and free expression (hello Danish cartoonists) - that they most certainly do hate. But, it's our status as "infidels" that drives them to jihad against us, nothing else.
Katie Paul is one dumbarse individual.
She is either stuck in political correct denial or stuck on stupid...take your choice.
Using their distorted logic, Texas, Oklahoma, and most of the Midwest, as well as all of California are settlements—construction should cease immediately and the territories should be turned over to the Indians and Mexico. It is laughable that obama takes the moral stand against Israeli ownership of Israel when our claims are less than 200 years and their claims are 2600 years.
They hate Americans because they aren’t muslim, subjected to shariah law.
They hate hindus for the same reason. And buddhists. And jews. And other muslims. And after that they hate each other too, and if there aren’t any non-muslims available to kill, they kill each other.
In fact, one of the remarkable things about muslims is that where ever they are, they are at war. And the ones who are not, will not speak out against the ones who are. Ever heard a muslim speak up in defense of jews? hindus? buddhists? Freedom?
No very darned many, I don’t imagine, its sad to say.
I agree that they don’t hate us for our freedoms, because that is too limited. They hate us because we represent civilization, and they are barbarians. They know they cannot compete with us, and that their barbarism will die out unless they completely destroy civilization, so as to leave no alternative to barbarity.
“Who is Katie Paul and when did she have her cerebellum operated on?”
Is she related to Ron Paul?
I have no idea. Until today I had no idea this woman existed. I still wish I didn’t lol
