Conservatism is the soul of our nation [Chris Simcox challenges McCain]
www.simcoxforsenate.com ^ | Nov 4, 2009 | Chris Simcox

Posted on 11/04/2009 11:40:16 AM PST by Simcox

Many thanks to Jim Robinson and Hildy who encouraged me to post here. I don't do much blogging or posting other than Facebook so you can go over there to learn more about me and my platform. I am running for the U.S. Senate in Arizona. I will be a primary challenger to John McCain. I am a Constitutional conservative. I need your support in our effort to right the wrongs of how our federal government operates and repeal bad laws, regulations and protect states. Thanks for taking the time to read all this and yes I look forward to your feedback. I'm just a common man, a citizen who decided to stand up and be counted when I started the citizen border watch movement, the first Tea party in what is now an amazing renaissance of conservatism that is the soul of our nation. Chris Simcox

A 500 mile circuit from Phoenix to Kingman, Lake Havasu and back through the long straight roads into Wickenberg strengthened my resolve as a conservative candidate. I never stray from the marker I set on my priciples that have been learned, and earned as I approach my 49th birthday this month. This is the month that has validated my campaign. I am a Christian, Constitutional, conservative family oriented man. I understand the job I am applying for as a public servant and I will never waiver from my civic duty and constitutional oath on as I have done since I took up post on our southern border after the attacks of 9-11-01.

To Thine own self be true, and true to my mission to lead a citizen reform movement in the most socially divisive of issues, we laid down a marker at our borders, stood in defense of our sovereignty and demanded respect for our citizenship and rule of law - I have never wavered and never will. The people of Arizona are responding. I would not be wasting your time or mine if I was not absolutely committed to winning this Senate seat for the people of Arizona. As a federalist senator I'll stand strong on a no-nonsense Constitutional approach to protecting our rights as free people. I will defend our states' ability to allow people to work and live free of federal regulation. And I will protect America's freedom from Internal treaties that cede our sovereignty or are ability to defend our nation.

Thank you to the Kingmen Republican Women's Club, The London Bridge Women's Republican Club and the Lake Havasu Men's Republican Club

The following article by Lee Cary sums it up perfectly - please support my campaign tomorrow with a $25-$50 contribution to send a message to the establishment that we the people are ready to get the job done the RIGHT way. Remember the 5th of November! Chris Simcox www.simcoxforsenate.com

JD Hayworth is considering a run and I hope he does it.

A world without the McCain’s of the republican party...ahhh...what a dream. I’d give a few more seats in the house and maybe even the senate just to have all of our side conservative (without obvious liberal leanings).

Hayworth does have a good record AND some chance of actually defeating McCain.

Staytrue, that is totally idiotic!

You should “StaySilent.” Strangely, you spoke of presidents, not senators, when you said “our nominees” were your list of presidents.

Strangely, Reagan and the others were never senators. Could you instead give us a list of Republican senators that required a pedigree? Perhaps you like the accomplishments of Lindsay Graham or Olympia Snowe?

Get freaking real and get your head out of where the sun doesn’t shine.

Lemme guess—you give that same screed when someone announces they are running for local dog catcher, too, right? Why not mention presidents for any and every non-presidential race?

Simply idiotic!

Out of your list, only Nixon was ever a senator. I’ll give you that.

But if you require the resume of a president for other positions, pity the person who would be your spouse or gay mate.

Has Simcox resolved this? It's not from a lefty site, it's from the Washington Times:

Washington Times: Minutemen not watching over funds

I wouldn't send him a penny until he can also account for this money.

Welcome to FR and congratulations on your decision to challenge McCain. My mother was born in Arizona and I've visited there many times. It's a beautiful state and deserves better than McCain.

Thank you. If only more politcians had the same convictions we wouldnt be in this mess.
It is time for a reckoning in the GOP between the liberals in the party and the conservative. One hopes that those RINOS will see the error of thier ways and make way for true conservatives.
Keep up the good fight.

“What, precisely, is going to set you apart from John McCain other than that one issue which, to be honest, isn’t all that compelling to most folks?”

Did you miss the phone meltdown during the last major amnesty war?

“That’s who we are, that’s what we do.”

Half your list were despicable liberals.

If Nixon, Ford, Dole, Bush, and McCain are “who you are and what you do”..... then you’re a Democrat.

McCain is back to pretending to be a conservative cause the election is nearing. He has his proxy, Lindsay Graham-nesty, pushing amnesty and cap & trade.

McCain needs to go.
