A message from NY-23 conservative candidate Doug Hoffman

Note from Michelle: This is a special guest post from NY-23 conservative congressional candidate Doug Hoffman. Please spread the word about the Nov. 3 special election and show your support. All hands on deck!)

It’s time for conservatives to show the Republican establishment who’s in charge By Doug Hoffman

There’s nothing like a drop in the polls to bring out a candidate’s principles.

With her numbers plummeting – and mine rising – and only three weeks left until the election in NY-23, Dede Scozzafava has decided she needs to change her stripes to get conservative votes.

Specifically, she’s changed her position on income taxes. One would have expected more hostility to taxes earlier in the campaign, since she had a leadership role in her brother’s company as it racked up almost $200,000 in unpaid tax liens. But alas.

On August 18 Scozzafava’s campaign called my signing of the Taxpayer Protection Pledge a “stunt”:

Matthew A. Burns, campaign spokesman for Republican candidate Dierdre K. Scozzafava, said Mr. Hoffman’s pledge was a “stunt,”

Does the GOP even have a platform any more? Scuzzy Favor looks a lot like the 2008 Democrat platform.

Please, send Hoffman a donation. I wish we would get behind him as strongly as we got behind Joe Wilson last month.

Markos Moulitsas, founder of The Daily Kos has endorsed Scozzafava. Dede Scozzafava has also been endorsed by NYSUT, the largest labor union in New York, and an affiliate of the National Education Association.

Scozzafava also holds these positions:

Scozzafava has also run in past elections on the Working Families Party (a progressive party associated with ACORN) line on the ballot.

This lady isn’t a RINO, she is a big “R” democRat.

There are also 17 RINOs in the house who have donated funds to this Liberal democRat's campaign. They include Boehner and Cantor. I don’t have a full list, but I will be looking for it. These RINOs should be targeted for elimination in the primaries next year.

This crap is getting hard to swallow.

I think back to the GOP’s Rhode Island disaster with good ol’ Liberal Lincoln C.

The GOP is a defective tool. It’s unreliable and painful to have around.

The end results of the Republican vote being split between the official GOP candidate and the conservative candidate, could be that the Democrat is going to win it. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. When ACORN backing, abortion backing, stimulus backing, tax increase backing "Republicans" like Scozzafava, start losing in elections, the GOP establishment will finally start getting it into their thick heads that Republicans DON'T want such RINO’s representing them.
Whatever the outcome, it's going to be a win, win for the GOP in 2010.

This Soczzafava creature drawing Daily Kooks backing extends a trendline that began (or galvanized) with the nomination of McCain in 2008—the buyout of the Republican party by Soros and his various cutouts. The idea is to turn millions of American conservatives into a politically homeless rabble. We better prepare accordingly.

That’s the worst result, the best would be for Doug Hoffman to actually pull it off and win!

Could part of the trouble be that favors are owed among the GOP, like they are among Democrats. So less than optimal candidates are chosen in order to please some benefactor.

Nope. The GOP is run by morons.

They will come to the same conclusion they did with McCain... that the party isn’t enough of a big tent.

Like I said: morons.
