I've always believed in the existence of monsters. During my 20 years as a cop in NYC, I met quite a few of them, many of whom may still be doing time in prisons around the country. However, they were the garden-variety type of monsters; murderers, rapists, armed robbers and other assorted thugs. But there's another, even lower, level of criminal that exists in communities all across America, even in some of our churches. The creature I'm referring to is the pedophile. A few years ago, I received a 6-page letter in the mail from a woman in East Cambridge, Massachusetts, who related the tragic story of her son's murder at the hands of 2 such creatures.

I see this great country America disappear under my eyes and be turned into a fascist/marxist/islamist country and nobody is doing anything about it. Since 9/12 everybody is back on their couch and nothing or nobody is outthere fighting.

Sorry, but this goes way beyond Obama. It’s a sign of cultural rot. The leftists tell us diversity and tolerance makes us strong, but it doesn’t. We are a very weak society to permit something as obscene as NAMBLA.
Obama needs to be stopped? How about more parents taking reponsibility for their kids safety.
Small children need their parents to pay attention to them, period. I got embroiled in an argument with others on FreeRepublic who thought it perfectly OK for their small children to open the front door to a stranger!! It doesn’t matter where you live - children have been taken from homes in all regions of this nation, even rural Idaho - city, country, suburban areas all are vulnerable to pedophiles.
No doubt the same people believe it is perfectly OK for a neighbor to be ‘friendly’ to their child, taking them out for meals or on trips. Pedophiles prey on the lonely kids.
Neither is acceptable parenting.
Children will not go looking for attention and acceptance from others outside a family, making it easy for child predators, if they are getting enough of both at home.

I agree 100%. That’s why I homeschooled my four kids. However, within my my own life time I’ve seen things change drastically for the worse. Adults used to act like adults and most people didn’t have to fear their neighbors. Immorality is at at an all time high and intstead of combatting these evils Obama is creating an environment where these types of individuals are not only protected but in some cases exalted.
I think so too but should we kick the beast on leg or should we go straight for the head?

When I was growing up in the sixties, especially the early sixties, We had real neighborhoods, and stay at home moms. Everybody knew each other, especially all the moms. There was a sense of order, purpose, responsibility, etc., and everybody got along.
The interesting thing is, most everybody else was a different nationality. The people across from me were Canadian French. To my right was a Lebanese family, whose son was my best friend. Next to them was a Sicilian family whose son was my brothers best friend. Beyond them was an Italian family. Tom left there was a (Parisian) French family, Then a Polish family, and beyond that two Jewish families. All of them had kids, and we all played together, and nobody, ever, talked about race or nationality or anything like that, even though many of their parents spoke their respective native tongues. When I went over their houses I'd hear them speaking Polish, Italian, French, Hebrew/Yiddish, etc., but the interesting thing is, they had a sense of when and where to speak it, and it had nothing to do with shame. They understood certain things that people today do not. Oh, and I almost forgot....myself, I'm a typical American mutt. Mostly Irish, with a little Native American and quite possibly French thrown in, whose family doesn't speak a word of Gaelic.
This country has changed so much that I hardly recognize it...
Wait a minute. Speak for yourself. I am not permitting NAMBLA, nor am I permitting ‘anything’ these Godless leftists are doing. There’s a huge difference between permitting something and not being able to prevent it (yet).

Ultimately, we **must** aim to shut down every government school in this nation.
Government schools can NOT be reformed! They are working exactly as planned when they opened in the mid-1800s to early 1900s. Their goal from the beginning was to create a common class of compliant workers for the fascist state!
Government schools were a socialist scheme from the beginning. They are **still** a socialist scheme! Socialism can NOT be reformed!
Finally, since the first day a compulsory government school opened in the mid-1800s, children learn every day that it is OK for the government to take money from their neighbor to pay for something their parents want for free! One to three generations later we had the IRS, social security, FDR's New Deal, Johnson's Great Society, and every other socialist boondoggle since!
Socialism is evil! Government schools are socialism! Government schools are evil! It was only a matter of time that they would become as morally corrupt as they are. And.. Remember! Government schools can NOT be reformed because socialism can not be reformed!
I believe the terrible blight on our society is pornography. Many people do not turn into criminal perverts because of it(but it harms them and their loved ones more than they can ever know), but there are many who cannot handle it. They become addicted and must go to ever deeper levels of it to get the same demented results. I think one would have to search high and low for a sexual criminal who does not indulge in much pornography.
Pornography by it's very nature degrades sexuality. It divorces sexual expression from being between two people who are expressing true love and turns it into a soulless function with the only purpose selfish pleasure. The one indulging in it knows only heartless sexual lust, not a person but an object whose only purpose is selfish satisfaction.
It trains the body to react to the wrong stimulus. Pornographers then exploit the users and push upon them more and more wicked forms of it. Soon the users' bodies, minds and souls are enslaved to evil acts of sexuality. After awhile the perpetrators are not any longer satisfied with only viewing degraded acts but must try them their selves.
As well as the actual pornography they are now entangled with hosts of demons out of hell whose jobs are to pressure them down into deeper and darker acts of wickedness.The Bible says that Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. Pornography is one of hell's best tactics to degrade, damage and even kill.
It is time for decent people everywhere to have an outcry against pornography and the damage it does to individuals and relationships at every level of society. Right now it is becoming more accepted everyday. Many people talk about it like it is a normal part of life. It is one of the most wealthiest industries in The USA. We must take a stand against it or many more lives will be horribly changed and hurt. Innocent children are the most heart breaking victims of all. We need to stand in the gap and launch an all out campaign against it. If we don't we will continue to go on being shocked at how can anybody do such a thing while the main reason is right under our noses.

In theory the Federal government could grow with out taxes. They could just print money. The tax part would come from the devaluation of the money/wealth in our hands.

This kind of perversion and evil is not new to mankind...it has always been around--lurking in the shadows.
Moral humans do not permit evil to exist but are helpless in killing it (we can destroy it in one place only to have it pop up somewhere else).
In this country, there still exists a moral civilization, but it is in a battle for leadership with those who are either blind to evil or--gasp--even support it.
We are certainly in a war...but this is no time for negative thinking. IMO, we need to be thankful that we are chosen for this war and thankful for our role in it...and keep on fighting in whatever way we can.

I am not even sure its ignorance. I would LIKE to think that it is because the ignorant can be taught.

There is a young boy about 8 or 9 new to my subdivision who I always see riding his bike alone because there aren't any other kids to play with.
One day I was taking batting practice in the street in front of my house (wiffle balls and batting tee)and no traffic. Johnny kept riding his bike by me watching so finally I asked him his name and if he wanted to shag the fly balls for me. He said sure so I told him to go home and get his glove and ASK YOU MOTHER IF ITS OK......
He came back a few minutes later with his glove so I guess it was ok.
I asked John if he played baseball and he said no. I thought that a little strange because every little kid likes to play catch or bat balls. So it occured to me that maybe there isn't a father figure in his life to encourage him to do those boys things.
My sisters once suggested I volunteer for Big Brothers but I told them there was no way would I put myself in a position to have some young boy make a claim to his mother about some alleged misbehavior on my part.
Its unfortunate but thats also the reality of life today........
You have embraced the spirit of fear. The chances of your child being seduced by an adult pedophile who is a stranger is very very small. They are more likely to be molested by a peer.
This stuff has always existed. It’s just that now it’s out in the open and considered “OK” by the same types of people who always thought it was “OK”. In the past they had to hide it in the garage.
As I see it (in my dottage) the real problem is that conservatives have chosen to leave the stage. There need to be many, many, many more conservative private schools to syphon off the attendees from public schools, where “anything goes” is not only accepted but actually part of the required curriculum.
A strong and significant conservative private sshool system could stem the coming tide of having a federally mandated curriculum that includes this junk, for all schools including privately funded schools. There is strength in numbers.
You young conservatives out there need to get together and take over school boards and local city councils.
What has happened over the past three decades is that liberals, with their customary big, loud mouths, have frightened off the more reflective conservatives who don’t want to fight (understandably; no one really likes confrontation). Consequently, lots of mini Nancy Pelousi’s have taken over many school boards and city councils because they stepped into the gap.
And, as a result, you have millions of children being exposed to this stuff.
There, that’s my old-folk’s rant for the day. Whew! Now I can go take another nap...
When this country was founded, the church was the center of a community. And our founders, in the first amendment, said that the federal government can never intrude on that relationship.
Had they been writing that constitution now, they would put the same restriction on the education of our young people - the federal government has no place in that setting.
They would have put this in their state constitutions, as well as county,city, and town charters as well.
If our Founding Fathers could see the effects of government interference in education ( regardless of how local) they would be horrified.
Fundamentally, it is impossible to have a religiously, politically, or culturally neutral education. When one neighbor can use the government ( regardless of how local) to force another neighbor to fund their philosophic worldview, then we have tyranny of the voting mob over the hearts and minds of children and their parents.
Government schools are a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination!
We just need a state legislature to pass a law that the victim’s association with NAMBLA can be used as a defense in any murder case. Let the jury decide if they want to protect these monsters. There are a lot of states where to good guy’s chances would be pretty good.

The above is true. The only caveat I would add to it is that many “things” can be avoided by due diligence and being suspicious of other people, including relatives. I like what Reagan said;”Trust but verify.” After all, it is children we’re speaking of protecting in this instance. Children cannot be let loose until we’re sure thay’ve learned the habits that will hopefully keep them safe AND socially acceptable to the majority of polite society.
Pornography: there is a difference between XXX porn and erotica. Entire volumes have been written about the differences between the two genres. Let it suffice here to say that erotica is not always naked and does not involve blatant sexual activity, while hard-core pornography involves sexual activity blatantly portrayed, usually close up.
Erotica includes Victoria’s Secret catalogues, a favorite of young boys (and mom gets them in the mail!), and Playboy magazine (which sometimes skates along a razor’s edge between the two genre, in my opinion.) It is generally prevalent in advertising and entertainment media so it has lost the ability to titillate as the public becomes jaded.
That is where pornography and its depictions creep in (I’m not going to provide descriptions - we know it when we see it).
Hard porn unfortunately has many, many sites on the WWW which is horrifying since most children know more about computers than the parents who try to lock out those sites.
I agree with you 100% about pornography. It is a curse but one that has existed since humans began creating designs and portraying human activities. During the late 18th and early 19th centuries archaeologist began unearthing the villas buried by Mt. Vesuvius’s eruptions during the 1st century AD and were shocked to discover that household furniture was constructed with pieces of wood carved to resemble the erect male penis! Westerners were scandalized to discover entire temple complexes in southern Asia covered with copulating couples carved in stone, and so on.
But we know better now. Hard core porn is unhealthy as it seperates monogamous relationships from sexual need. We must return to teaching our children that marriage is the righteous way for adults to behave.
