John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save planet

Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.
The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?
These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:
Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not; The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food; Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise; People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized. A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.
Impossible, you say? That must be an exaggeration or a hoax. No one in their right mind would say such things.
Well, I hate to break the news to you, but it is no hoax, no exaggeration. John Holdren really did say those things, and this report contains the proof. Below you will find photographs, scans, and transcriptions

A program of sterilizing women after their second or third child, despite the relatively greater difficulty of the operation than vasectomy, might be easier to implement than trying to sterilize men.
...
The development of a long-term sterilizing capsule that could be implanted under the skin and removed when pregnancy is desired opens additional possibilities for coercive fertility control. The capsule could be implanted at puberty and might be removable, with official permission, for a limited number of births.

I read up on this guy and he is really scary. Although I must admit that 307 million (US population 2009) is way too much for the US. I remember when it crossed 200 million. It wasn't that long ago. I think about 1967 or so.
Most of the growth of the US population is immigration (both legal and illegal). Had the US not have changed its immigration laws in 1965, the population of the US would have leveled off at about 265-270 million and we would essentially be at or very close to ZPG. The US would be a much better country if 1965 Immigration & Reform Act had not passed and we continued with the immigration policy we currently had.
Once again we can thank the Democrats as it was they who pushed through this disastrous piece of legislation. Ted Kennedy led the way.

All these folks clamoring about population control would be the last one to agree that they should be the first to go. When I have confronted someone with this outlook of control and suggest that they really get behind the movement by offing themselves look at me like I'm the one who's crazy.

Leibenstraum You're dreaming about carcasses? Perhaps you meant Lebensraum.
Talk about an caricatured anti-Constitutional administration, totally opposed to the concept of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" for those "endowed by their Creator with [those] inalienable rights".
How do we fast-track cases that can get to SCOTUS to reverse the effect-of-law-policies of these traitors of questionable parentage?

BIG DEATH CULTIVATION PING.
Adding this to the recent “Electing God” thread to which I pinged you all but a few days ago, even I am finding it hard to believe that our alleged supermen think they can be this brazenly open.
It is amazing how rapidly this sort of thinking went from “Hush, don’t wanna disturb the sheep” to “Oh, what the hell?”
When this sort of thinking was relegated to but a few comments here and there, and when the only high profile websites were lunatics like the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT) and The Church of Euthanasia, many of you could sit back and say “Oh, it’s only a bunch of lunati fringies and some Ivory Tower Elitists.”
Well, guess what? That thinking is situated in our White House now.
I pray you all think that now is the time to spread the word, given this mountain evidence, that the lunatics have taken over the asylum right at the top.

In the book that is quoted he is coauthor with Paul Ehrlich, discredited author of ‘The Population Bomb’. Interesting that Justice Ginsberg came out as a eugenicist. You would think that her ethnicity would discourage her in this approach.

Saying that 300 million is too high of a population for America is an arbitrary judgement.
Ever been to China or Japan? I have and it sucks. I'd hate to live in the crowded conditions they live in. There isn't hardly anywhere you can go and get off by yourself. It's a miserable existence.
You can have it. I like having open spaces with forests and wildlife in abundance. I don't want to see our wild lands overrun and despoiled. Maybe you like that existence but most American despise it. Go spend some time in Tokyo and see what it's like. Then come back and tell me that the earth can sustain many more that the current population.
Have you been to a seafood market lately. The price of fish is INSANE. This is because the Nations are overfishing trying to satisfy the worldwide demand for protein. As a kid fish was cheap or at least reasonable. Now it's outrageous. So where is the food or clean water going to come from to support all these millions more that you look forward to? How are you going to house them? What about Clean Water? I don't think you have given this much thought. You must be reading some of the neoconservative literature from a crackpot like Ben Wattenburg or one of his followers.

Ethnicity can be misleading. Bloodline does not guaranty faith in God nor equate to belief in the sanctity of innocent human life.
Jacob and Esau were twins, but Esau was so powerful and skilled in hunting he felt no need for the God of his father. And it was his grandson, Amalek, who is the quintessential man with whom God warned would make war with Him from generation to generation.

That was my first reaction too. But after thinking about it for a while I was torn. I despise these 3 places as well. I would rather die than live in anyone of them. Detroit is the absolute worst. NY is livable if you are a multimillionaire. Otherwise it's awful. There are nice places in SOCAL, but the LA/SOCAL area gets worse by the hour. Unless I could live in Newport Beach or someplace like that, SOCAL is getting awful as well.

Oh, yeah! 0bama is the king of the death cult. Let there be no doubt. Yet even on this thread there are those who don't recognize it. And at least one of those fears that mankind will never solve the problem of survivability without active depopulation programs.
He is not alone. Just one of the many who are misled into believing that either God or nature -- including human nature's drive to overcome any adversity -- will be insufficient. You know: those who are convinced that Malthus has just got to be eventually correct.
The many places on the globe where population is indeed a problem have also been where men have not been permitted the freedom to solve their own problems without some tyrant breathing down their backs.
