I read up on this guy and he is really scary. Although I must admit that 307 million (US population 2009) is way too much for the US. I remember when it crossed 200 million. It wasn't that long ago. I think about 1967 or so.

Most of the growth of the US population is immigration (both legal and illegal). Had the US not have changed its immigration laws in 1965, the population of the US would have leveled off at about 265-270 million and we would essentially be at or very close to ZPG. The US would be a much better country if 1965 Immigration & Reform Act had not passed and we continued with the immigration policy we currently had.

Once again we can thank the Democrats as it was they who pushed through this disastrous piece of legislation. Ted Kennedy led the way.

Have you ever taken a drive through the USA west of the Missippi and east of the West Coast?? This country is practically half EMPTY.

Saying that 300 million is too high of a population for America is an arbitrary judgement.

The earth can easily sustain many more than the current 6.7 billion.

‘Peak oil’ and other myths are just that, myths.

The only people who think this thought live in the inner city/ metro areas. When you get out of town into the 90 percent of the rest of the continent you will see how underpopulated it really is.

I agree with you. The infrastructure can't keep up. I remember everything being clean, safer, and empty highways in the 70s and 80s.

Now, because liberals allowed in everybody who wanted to come legally or illegally, destroying the fabric of our society, and dangling freebies like SSI in front of folks who never worked a day in their lives, we are overrun.

So after all their destruction, of course the leftists, in their never-ending "genius," want to start reducing us --- but I'm sure only a certain segment of us.

“I read up on this guy and he is really scary.”

The book was written in 1977.

Has he recently reaffirmed his views?

[[I read up on this guy and he is really scary. Although I must admit that 307 million (US population 2009) is way too much for the US.]]

Although htis sounds like a lot- it really isn’t- that number could fit in just one state such as Texas alone- (Not suggesting that it would be comfortable, but it could be done- and shows that although 307 million sounds like it’s ‘overcrowding America’ it really isn’t- We have huge vast tracts of land that are unpopulated, sities that are spread out, country living where your closest neighbor is miles away etc. There’s still much more than enough room in htis country- Yep- some cities are overcrowded- but that’s the beuty of living in htis country- you have a choice whether to live city life, with all the excitement of inner city living, or country life where it’s peaceful etc-

Not advocating for illegal imigration, but just pointing out we’re still a huge nation with plenty of room despite hte seemingly large number of 307 million population.
