I still think, although I was much too optimistic in the early days, that the possibility of stopping a pregnancy very early is significant. The morning-after pill will become more accessible and easier to take. So I think the side that wants to take the choice away from women and give it to the state, they're fighting a losing battle. Time is on the side of change. In other words:
Nana nana boo-boo, you uptight pro-lifers are out of luck because exterminating an unwanted uterine pest will soon be as simple as swallowing a pill and as comfortable as taking a laxative. Women will be able to terminate their pregnacies in the privacy of their homes away from prying eyes, so you bible-thumping party poopers can all just suck it!
I'm glad we have such mature and moral minds guarding our Constitution, aren't you?

But I thought libs were always for poor, oppressed, and downtrodden. I wonder how she squares her distaste for “undesirables” against her belief in court ordered racism to promote quotas in hiring and promotion of these same undesirables? Or the vast court ordered redistribution of wealth to aid these same undesirables?
Libs are so nuanced they can't see the difference between right and wrong, or life and genocide. Truly creepy!

When I first read this, I thought that she was advocating eugenics, but a more careful reading suggests that was unfair. She was ascribing to the authors of the Roe decision such a view but realized by 1980 when they sustained the Hyde amendment blocking use of Medicare funds for abortion that she had been wrong in ascribing such motives to them.
