Proposal: We begin referring to the Obama Presidency as the "Post-Capitalist Era"

Posted on 02/25/2009 5:36:25 PM PST by E. Pluribus Unum

With the federal government taking over the banking industry, the automobile industry, the health care industry, the talk radio industry, legislating the energy industry out of existence and just about anything else they can get their hands on, I think this is a new historical period that needs a name.

"Post-Capitalism" is my nominee.

When it comes to the Constitution of the United States, Obama and our government as a whole, are on a road trip.

I agree that some catch phrase is definitely called for.

Perhaps we could reference the U.S. Constitution in some manner.

We could call it the Post Union Constitution era, or PUC for short. Pronounced PUKE.

The books of James (paraphrased) is that with our tongue we get what we say, so I do not want to confess anything that lets the left win. Instead I like to “call things that be not as though they were”...

No, it’s “The transition to Black rule.” And the results will be about the same as in Zimbabwe and South Africa....

If that Great American insanity is only a temporary period, then its been a long one— from FDR to the present.

I'd call it the beginning of "The New Dark Ages", but Al Sharpton would probably have a cow...

On second thought, Al Sharpton having a cow would be a good thing...
