I spoke with the "apackof2" listed on the above as a contact earlier today, she has been getting lots of confirmations for Friday, many from outside of the mid-Michigan area. Let's make it a biggie! Let's have some fun and get our point across as well!
Our group will be meeting close to the steps, The front of the Capitol (facing Michigan Avenue). Be advised: A bunch of anti-war whackos apparently meet every Friday at noon, by the statue of Austin Blair (also in Capitol front but closer to streetside). They all dress in black. They are the enemy! MAybe we can have some "fun" with them afterward!

Make it to this on Friday, the Tea Party. I haven’t seen the weather forecast yet but since I’m only three blocks from the Capitol, I can’t miss out.
I wont be able to make it to Lansing.
I am trying to get everyone to join in a real live protest on May 5th.
That is a primary election day in Michigan and many districts will also have tax millage props on the ballot.
The plan is to get a statewide tax revolt going. Just vote NO on any tax of any kind, new, renewal, anything on the ballot for any purpose.
Send the bastards a message that they can’t ignore, we are sick of taxes!
Until voters take a stand this, the new “Liberals Gone Wild” tax-n-spend show will never end!
In fact, this would be better if it were national. That would be a real tea party! Throw all the tax proposals in the crapper!
