Mayor Richard Daley said today that Chicago will host a "gun conference" next month to look for ways to beef up gun laws and get guns off the streets.
The mayor said he would bring in leaders from across the country and people who have lost loved ones to gun violence. He said the attendees plan to review recent Supreme Court decisions that limited how cities can regulate guns.

They need to wall of Chicago and eject it from the Union. If they want to run a little lib socialist hell-hole, that’s perfectly fine with me, but I don’t want it weighing down the rest of my country.

How to get guns off the streets?
How about finding them warm, caring and loving homes?

Obama owes this guy and from everything he’s stated and the way he has voted in the past pretty much thinks the same way. Enjoy the 2nd amendment while you can.

Dear Mayor Daley,
Put the bad guys in jail. For a very long time.
There, I just saved you a whole bunch of money because you don’t have to have your stupid forum now.
You’re welcome.

Maybe Shortshanks should just stay in his office then his security detail that carries MP5’s wouldn't be forced to go out.

Putting the bad guys in jail may have stared this thing....The “family” has had several members put in jail lately, enough that there are now turf wars for control of various industries. Turf wars create more guns, deaths, etc.

The Heller decision may be a highwater mark for our Second Amendment rights, once The One begins appointing leftists to the USSC.

Why don’t they bring in people who are still alive because they had a gun to defend themselves?

Unfortunately, Scalia left a hole the Dems will be able to drive a truck through by saying the right is still open to ‘reasonable’ regulation. He apparently didn’t understand ‘shall not be infringed’ either.

We should be mobilizing these people to arrive at Daley’s conference, along with a march of Illinois gun owners. If we don’t get in their faces very quickly we’re going to be under extremely onerous regulations. Just like DC is about to be again.

probably because they're in maximum security facilities with double life sentances.

That’s my strategy. Every time my wife complains when I bring a new one home I just tell her that I’m doing my part to keep guns off the street.

A simple, but far out, solution would be to REQUIRE everyone in Chi-town to carry a gun. I think things would sort themselves out right quickly.

Chicago and Illinois politicians are going down by the dozens for crimes of fraud and bribery.
Daley's main concern, amidst all this?
Violating the Constitution.
