Another Worthless Vanity I know..
I work Nights, so I'll wake up, Download the Rush Podcast, and then Listen to it. I finish work up at 6:30 am Cst, so plenty of time to get to the Polls. One of my favorite things Rush does is the Tomorrow we meet at Dawn bit.
None of the polls matter, none of the pundits mean sht, lie to the exist polsters, the real test is the Fight at the ballot box.You get out there and make the other poor b-stard lose the election!
Like the Great One says, We have Men and Women overseas fighting everyday. You better show up and vote the right way!
Eagles Up! Good Luck to the PUMAs!
Hold the line!
Tomorrow We Meet at Dawn!
Before dawn, actually, and it’s supposed to be raining. My “complete Republican ticket” flyers will get wet!
I thought of that this morning, too. It’s my favorite thing that Rush says—it gives me chills!
Yet you don't care. ;-)
I really do :)
Tomorrow We Meet at Dawn
I came here willingly
And I will go down valiantly.
We made a vow to give it all we had to give
We made a vow to die as we had lived..
God, I love that movie.
As we all mortals must die, I pray that I may die for a just cause and by my own clear decision to defend what I believe is right.
When I cast my vote tomorrow my thoughts will go to another naval aviator, Cmdr. John C Waldron. Waldron commanded the doomed Torpedoe 8 at the Battle of Midway. Flying obsolescent TBDs he knew their chances for survival were not great. On the night of June 3 1942 he wrote to his squadron.
"It is my hope that we encounter a favorable tactical situation, but if worst comes to worst and we do not then I want each one of us to do his utmost to destroy our enemies. If there is only one plane left to make a final run in, I want that man to go in and get a hit. Happy landings and Give em Hell."
Give em Hell, John Mccain!!
Fair Winds and Following Seas.!
I will be posting this on a couple of threads today:
When you vote tomorrow if you have not already done so, please do not accept a provisional ballot under any circumstances. Insist on getting a real ballot that will be processed the same as everyone else.
I expect problems in Broward where I live that may exist in other areas of the state of FL and perhaps nationwide. One in particular is absentee ballots that the SOE sent out late giving the voter insufficient time to return them. The only option left is to go to the poll and vote on 11/4. Poll workers may want you to vote a provisional ballot in order to check against returned absentee ballots. Don’t let them do it.
Ask for the person in charge and ask to speak to a Republican poll watcher we can get help to you. Do not listen to people in blue baseball caps labeled “voting rights attorney”, they are Camp Zero people.
You can always take a couple of numbers of local Victory offices with you as well. They will be staffed all day on election day and able to dispatch help to your polling place if you need it.
I plan to be there at 6:30 if not before...with a chair, a book and an umbrella.....could be a long wait.
Our weapon is our vote.
Get’r’done! bttt
I’ve already voted absentee, but I plan to be at the entrance to the Reagan Library (polling place) tomorrow holding sign(s). Trying to figure out what to put on the signs. I was thinking of dressing in my hippie Halloween costume, complete with long scuzzy wig, peace sign, and granny glasses, holding a sign “COMMIES LOVE OBAMA”.
