Get there early, the lines will be long.

McCain voters should be there for the morning (before work) vote, as the afternoon lines will be even longer.

Also, when the media starts calling it for Obama at 10am, it won't discourage our side as we will have already voted.

The polls will be a pain in the butt this year, but if there was ever an election to miss Oprah for, this is it.

Laziness on Tuesday will be misery for at least 4 years...so DO IT!

I thought of that this morning, too. It’s my favorite thing that Rush says—it gives me chills!

Given the character of our leaders most of the votes I've cast have been cast without great enthusiasm. Ronald Reagan, Rudy Giuliani, and yes Hubert Humphrey in my first election come to mind. Tomorrow I get the greatest gift a voter could ask for. I get to vote for a great man.A man who often has done great things when he knew no one was looking. A man who sees his country as much more than a birthplace or map location.A great man who is also a hero. Who has suffered physcally more and emotionally as much as any candidate for the office of President in history.

When I cast my vote tomorrow my thoughts will go to another naval aviator, Cmdr. John C Waldron. Waldron commanded the doomed Torpedoe 8 at the Battle of Midway. Flying obsolescent TBDs he knew their chances for survival were not great. On the night of June 3 1942 he wrote to his squadron.

"It is my hope that we encounter a favorable tactical situation, but if worst comes to worst and we do not then I want each one of us to do his utmost to destroy our enemies. If there is only one plane left to make a final run in, I want that man to go in and get a hit. Happy landings and Give em Hell."

Give em Hell, John Mccain!!

I will be posting this on a couple of threads today:

When you vote tomorrow if you have not already done so, please do not accept a provisional ballot under any circumstances. Insist on getting a real ballot that will be processed the same as everyone else.

I expect problems in Broward where I live that may exist in other areas of the state of FL and perhaps nationwide. One in particular is absentee ballots that the SOE sent out late giving the voter insufficient time to return them. The only option left is to go to the poll and vote on 11/4. Poll workers may want you to vote a provisional ballot in order to check against returned absentee ballots. Don’t let them do it.

Ask for the person in charge and ask to speak to a Republican poll watcher we can get help to you. Do not listen to people in blue baseball caps labeled “voting rights attorney”, they are Camp Zero people.

You can always take a couple of numbers of local Victory offices with you as well. They will be staffed all day on election day and able to dispatch help to your polling place if you need it.

Meet at dawn.......Yes we will........

0’s mind numb idiots are voting for more welfare, food stamps and any other freebies they can get. How sad it is that they would rather reap the bounty of someone else’s work and lick the boot of the master for the privilage rather than standup for themselves and take control of their own lives and familys.

We on the other hand are fighting for our life, our very survival, our country and our FREEDOM.

I will be there. I’m reminded of this last lines of this poem. It seems to fit how I feel today.

Good luck to us all. God speed.

“From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.”

"Rough men

There's a character trait that's decided by fate
Comes (sadly) to many, far too faint, far too late.
They won't face the aggressor, stand up to his ire
They have not the will to fight his fire with fire.
So they bend over backwards to see all sides as fair,
Till they're faced with dragon breath fire in their hair.
Like our brethren in France, who'd know better than we,
Yet seem never to learn, seem doomed never to see.

Yes, it seems there are some who're determined by fate,
To possess not the courage to step up to the plate,
Who shrink from all threat because nothing's worth war.
But how can they know lest they've been there before?
Thank God some have courage, the will, yes, the grace,
To stand for the shirkers, stand strong in their place.
Thank God we have stalwarts who'll stand for us all,
Who will rise to the challenge at their nation's call.

The faint-hearted, who fear, whose reaction is flight,
Have no comprehension of those who will fight.
To hide their own trepidation they attempt to demean
The rough men, who defend them, as barbaric, obscene.
Yet these rough men stand ready, hard weapons to hand,
To put placaters behind them, draw a line in the sand,
To preserve for the peaceniks what they won't defend,
So their own unearned freedom won't perish, won't end.

To appeasers, rough men are coarse government tools.
To rough men, appeasers are dumb delusional fools.
