Just got off the phone with wife. Mentioned the daughter of a lady she's working with in NH called the lady. Lady said daughter is in Tennessee (not sure where), but that news in TN is saying Obama is not a citizen because Obama was born outside US and mother didn't have required number of years in US for Obama to be citizen. Said there was actual proof.
Can anyone in TN confirm and link? Said it was actual news source (TV, I'm guessing).

It’s a little complicated but the law at that time specified that if you moved outside the U.S., you had to have like 5 years U.S. residency after the age of 18 before your child would automatically be a U.S. Citizen......or something like that.

That means that Stanley Ann Dunham was underage (18) when Obama was born supposedly in Kenya. She hadn’t lived in the U.S. long enough for the citizenship law to kick in for an out of country birth.
Some claim that US immigration law at the time would not confer US citizenship on Obama if he was born outside the country.
Although his mother was a US citizen, she had to reside in the US for a period after the age of 16. Since she was 18, 2 years purportedly wasn't long enough.
Not under a rock. Been following this closely. Just thought it was interesting that it was TN news. That’s why I’m asking if there is anyone in TN who can corroborate. Is there actual proof or is this related to the numerous lawsuits?

Didn't say mother wasn't a citizen. Know the father wasn't. What I did say was that this is the born outside the U.S. angle with the mother not having the requisite years past age 16 in the U.S. before bearing a child. Child would not be considered natural born citizen in this case. If it's just follow-up on the Berg case, I'll have the post deleted.
Just looking for corroboration. Am having the post pulled.
