... and mother didn’t have required number of years in US for Obama to be citizen.
What does this mean?
It’s a little complicated but the law at that time specified that if you moved outside the U.S., you had to have like 5 years U.S. residency after the age of 18 before your child would automatically be a U.S. Citizen......or something like that.
That means that Stanley Ann Dunham was underage (18) when Obama was born supposedly in Kenya. She hadn’t lived in the U.S. long enough for the citizenship law to kick in for an out of country birth.
Some claim that US immigration law at the time would not confer US citizenship on Obama if he was born outside the country.
Although his mother was a US citizen, she had to reside in the US for a period after the age of 16. Since she was 18, 2 years purportedly wasn't long enough.
What does this mean?
This is all predicated on Obama being born outside the US. If so then the law at that time required his mother to have lived in the US prior to the birth for at least 5 yrs for him to have citizenship rights. Since she was 18 when he was born the 5 yrs weren’t met. If he was born in HI then this senario doesn’t fly.
And she did not floss.
It means that the law at the time of Bozo’s birth said if you only have one US citizen parent and are born out of the US, the parent must have lived in the US 10 years after the age of 16, Bozo’s mother was 18 when he was born, therefore IF he was born outside of the US he is not a natural born citizen. The law today is slightly different but still she would not meet the criteria.
You cannot get citizenship through a parent under 18. Stanley was 17 when she gave birth to Obama, in Kenya. Hawaii issued the birth certificate without checking the law or purposefully ignoring the law.
