Just remember this -- if you don't vote or vote third party, you are helping the Obama-Pelosi-Reid socialist leftist triumvirate take over the country you know and love.

I am voting Barr and making a stand against the US’s slide into socialism. With McCain/Obama it’s either going to be a fast slide or a faster slide...my vote will say I’m against it altogether. The left lived through 8 years of Bush to emerge stronger than ever...we can live through 4 of 0bama.

Why do I have trouble with anything the "Weekly Standard" says? "Fox News All-Stars" Kristol and Barnes are editors...they have contributed to the Liberal takeover with their lopsided comments on Debate Number 3.

They should have made the comments in this article rather than how disappointing McCain is.

“here they come, democrats gone wild”

should read: “here they come- unabashedly psychotic democrats with messianic delusions; scu&bags in action”

IMHO

I’m not convinced that any one of the three “next years” will occur.

It’s not over yet.

*sigh* With dead people voting in Ohio, Mickey Mouse voting in Florida, the Dallas Cowboys voting twice (once in Missouri and once in Nevada) it might as well be though...

Now I know how the lending institutions must have felt having their arms twisted to make risky loans.

Absolutely right. Anyone who thinks its important to make a “protest” vote for 3rd party or just sit it out, can blame themselves when the brownshirts come beating on their door.
If for no other reason, nobama being able to left load the Supreme Court could very well destroy America or put common sense government and freedom out of reach for the next 2 or 3 generations if not forever.

You know, part of me thinks it would be a healthy thing for this to happen. Four years of this, and we'd have Carter style stagflation, huge new assaults on liberty, and in general a real mess. It would demonstrate to the younger generation just how bad liberalism is for the country, and perhaps lead the way for another Reagan-style era of prosperity (assuming the Republitards could actually nominate another Reagan).

But then I start thinking about the media's behavior in this campaign. I think if we'd had the media we have today during Carter's presidency, Carter would have been viewed as a success. The media is going to cover up every bad thing under Obama. They are going to continue to blame Bush for every problem, even after he's left office, for as long as they can get away with it. The fairness doctrine will kill off what conservative leaning press there is.

We have got to find a way to take the media back. Until we do, we're screwed. And I don't think voting is a viable way of doing it.

One socialist atrocity not mentioned that we are likely to get forever if Obama wins is government daycare centers for children. It could be the worst one of all.

Should this happen look for an orgy of new taxes and spending. Given the current state of the US economy that will push things over the edge and we will see a recession as bad as that under Jimmy Carter. I look for double digit inflation and unemployment within two years of Obama moving into the White House.

this turned out to be a very good discussion.

let me tell you one thing. I’m in WA State. In 2004 our Republican candidate lost by 129 votes. The Dems and ACORN cheated big time. eleven boxes of ballots were found in eleven diferent locations AFTER the tally, and after the recount. the witch won.

My point is, a few hundred votes would have made a huge difference. sadly, good, conservative, America loving people like my dad do not vote because they think their vote won;t make a difference.

My best friend doesn’t vote for the same reason, and because she can’t be bothered with such things.
and I suspect many many people are not aware of, or do not make a connection between their values and the two parties.

REPUBLICANS, AND ALL OF US, NEED TO DEFINE THIS.
Republicans need to pin every bad and failed idea to the dems. they need to sell themselves better. If you were selling candy bars would you hire a advertising firm to sell your product? of course. the GOP needs to do this too.

Dems do not sell their ideas because they know they dont sell. so what do they do? they force their agenda on us through city halls, the schools, county gov’t,...right on down the line.

Correct. The 3rd Party people have no idea how the culture, our heritage, our democratic capitalistic system will be altered by a dictatorship of Dems just for 4 years. The SCOTUS will be changed. Tax and spend policies will put the nation into deep trouble but voters will always vote pocketbook selfishness and with the Govt. doing all, they will get used to it. This idea that people will get tired of cradle to the grave is pure hokum and does not understand human nature. Stop the socialist pacifist BHO now or regret it for generations.
