You know, part of me thinks it would be a healthy thing for this to happen. Four years of this, and we'd have Carter style stagflation, huge new assaults on liberty, and in general a real mess. It would demonstrate to the younger generation just how bad liberalism is for the country, and perhaps lead the way for another Reagan-style era of prosperity (assuming the Republitards could actually nominate another Reagan).

But then I start thinking about the media's behavior in this campaign. I think if we'd had the media we have today during Carter's presidency, Carter would have been viewed as a success. The media is going to cover up every bad thing under Obama. They are going to continue to blame Bush for every problem, even after he's left office, for as long as they can get away with it. The fairness doctrine will kill off what conservative leaning press there is.

We have got to find a way to take the media back. Until we do, we're screwed. And I don't think voting is a viable way of doing it.

The problem is that this time the Democrats won’t give up power AND Democrat administrations do LASTING DAMAGE to the country. We are still suffering from the “New Deal”, not to mention that without Carter, Iran would not have been overtaken by radical Muslims and we wouldn’t be faced with them also acquiring nukes. And how do you think we will recover from the Democrats stuffin our courts with leftist activist judges?

Some people said in 2006, “let the Democrats take over” — well, now we see what happened, and this year they are even stronger, instead of weaker.

We are digging our own graves in the name of “principles”, if we ignore reality.
