RUSH: Look at this headline, from The Politico, a story by David Paul Kuhn: "Democrat Strategists See Landslide in the Making." A couple of Democrat strategerists, Doug Schoen and Democrat strategerists Paul Maslin, "It's going to be a landslide." The only thing that can stop the Obama landslide is a terrorist attack, and they say that the economic tsunami has done for Obama what he could not do for himself, and that's pull himself across the finish line. So yet another story today about how the election is over...
John Zogby, by the way, says, (paraphrasing) "Hey, don't pronounce this race over. This race is still anybody's race. It's too close to call." His daily tracking poll today has Obama up four. I got an e-mail note last night from a friend. Said, "Rush, I know that you do and say and accomplish a lot, and I know that it's very difficult for you to remember all of your great achievements and accomplishments, and I know that, Rush, because you're always facing the future, you're always rooted in the now looking forward, you don't look back." And that's true. That's why I have staff to remember things that I have said and done. But the staff failed me on this one. Now get this. This is fascinating. All this weighting in the polls favoring Democrats, depending on the poll and depending on the time the poll is taken, the pollsters will inflate the number of Democrats in the poll. This guy says, "Don't you remember how many Republicans you convinced to register Democrat during Operation Chaos? And how many of them are still registered Democrat, and how many of them might be getting calls from pollsters on that basis?" It's an interesting thought.

so maybe I am missing something but wouldn’t that be bad news for Mccain then? that the dems going for McCain are really GOPers AKA McCain hasn’t pulled in any substantial percentage of democrats or independents which would in turn favor Obama. Or is it saying that the pollsters are grossly overcompensating for the % of democrats which shows the polls being way off
I imagine Rush meant the latter but I could see either (unfortunately on account of the first one) being a possibility
Yeh, the Dems always lead in Presidential elections ...it is the thug intimidation thing going on...but not reality.

In Iraq, everyone got their thumb dyed blue. That would definitely keep people from voting in numerous counties on the same day. “ACORN” It would also be interesting to see who DIDNT have a blue thumb :-)

I am probably missing something(s) too but I read that to mean that just as the Operation Chaos particpants registered as Democrats to further the Republican cause, maybe those same people are getting calls from pollsters and are LYING to them (claim to vote Obama) in order to further support the Republican cause (give Dems false sense of lead in polls).

I called and emailed my congressman and both my senators today, in a rage over the Obama - ACORN - Ayers connection and begged them get all the conservatives in congress together for a coordinated attack and investigation. They are getting plenty of calls, but I’m urging everyone to pump up the volume with your reps. Here’s what I wrote;
!!!!!ACORN ALERT!!!! URGENT !!!!!
We implore our congressional representatives to drop whatever they are doing to the extent possible and get out in front of the ACORN - Obama - Ayers issue.
The Marxists on the Left have been working with the Democrats for decades, actively disenfranchising the voters of your district.
These Obama activists register felons, illegal’s, dead people, dogs, cats - whatever they can and cast illegal votes.
THIS PROBLEM HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH!
We can no longer afford to ignore it. Obama ACORN operatives could be doing this to you in your very district, or the district of another precious conservative seat at this very moment!
Thank you - Please get out there in front of the cameras and any other way you can to confront this. Lawsuits, legal action, congressional action - all is needed and no time to waste.

2. They want coattails to take 60 Senate seats.
2. They want to take local offices at every level.
3. They are creating the template for every election in the future so they maintain power for generations.
Folks, our Constitution really is in jeopardy. When they get control of the Supreme Court, everything is going to change. They will legislate from the lower courts and be supported in the Supreme Court. They see the Constitution as something that was created by rich, racist white men that has no meaning in today’s society.

ACORN and similar projects have been working on overdrive in states like Ohio and Pennsylvania and other “swing” states. The rats are catching onto electoral politics and they figure they only need to cheat the Republicans out of one or two of those states to win the whole ball of wax.
You won’t hear much about ACORN in hopeless toilets like New Jersey, Massachusetts, or California.
What I'm thinking is if Acorn turns the ratio to 80/20 and 20 percent of the rats are none existent then they are only fooling them selves.
They also cheat and exagerate the polling in the event of a McCain win, so they can claim that the election was obviously stolen. This is to provide legitimacy to the rioting and bloodletting that will inevitably follow

ACORN or someone with ACORN called me today. The phone ID just showed 000-000-0000 and when I answered, the person with a strange sounding name started talking about ACORN urging people to vote, and then talking about Obama. I couldn’t listen very long. I got angry. I know I should have listened to hear all the lies, but I was just so furious at them. All I could say was - “The ACORN name is appropriate for you...and all of you...because you are just a bunch of nuts.” And I hung up. Not like me, but I have had it.
