Likely voters give the Democrat a slight nod on his debate performance and in his overall handling of the current financial crisis

Utica, New York – Likely voters nationwide who watched Friday’s debate in Mississippi between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain gave Obama the win by the slightest of margins, a new Zogby Interactive survey shows.

The poll shows that 44% believed Obama won the debate, while 41% said McCain did. Another 16% said they watched the debate but were unsure who came out on top...

So basically 60% who watched the debate are too stupid to understand what they watched.

God save America.

Likely Democrat voters gave the Democrat a slight nod on his debate performance.

There, fixed.

I believe it was generally recognized that far more Dems than Pubbies saw the debate.

Sounds about right. Send a wire to the National Education Association: "Nice work."

It was an online interactive poll. I got it in my e-mail late last night.

I just do it for fun and really wouldn’t put much stock in the results.

McCain could have scored huge points if he had reminded Obama that corporations DO NOT pay taxes. They pass them on to their customers as a cost of doing business.

The Drudge online poll with over 400,000 votes had McCain winning (67%).

After the election, we will know who was right...Zogby or Drudge.

Read the fine print:

Just 78% of Democrats felt Obama won the debate, and just 80% of Republicans felt McCain won.
Independents, by a four-point margin, said Obama won the debate.

Undecided voters gave this to Obama. Remember the undecided voters at the Republican debates.

Unrelated to the focus of the poll, the way the percentages split on Drudge may also be an indicator that more conservatives than liberals visit his site.

Drudge might just be the most important medium in the media today.

His site has more influence than most TV Networks and is bi partisan.

When I saw that poll friday Night, I knew McCain won the debate.

If you define “winning” by not wetting himself and surviving the debate without teleprompters, then I guess you could say Obama “won”.

And the quotes are the biggest Chris Farley air quotes you can imagine.

Maybe, but Drudge has had a Obama crush most of the year, but has turned on Hussein lately.

If Drudge starts hitting Obama hard, this would be good.

He hates Hillary, and many say he helped doom her campaign.

As far as ANY polling this Presidential campaign season goes, its my opinion that the poll movers and shakers, the guys behind the scenes at gallop, zogby, etc... have determined the optimum percentage that Øbama should have at various points during the campaign to maximize his chances (and, correspondingly, minimize McCain/Palin’s chances). With a tiny margin of variability for a tinge of “realism”, these polls then follow this script. Its a given, according to Stalin, that power goes to those who count the votes... well, folks, for pollsters, its the pollsters that count the votes.

Must have polled Obamaites. Obama was a stammering, basket case for a presidential hopeful. McCain, while I disagreed with some of the things he said, sounded like he more or less knew what he was doing.

Polls, can't trust’em.

Don’t believe the polls. Anyone can screw around with numbers to prove anything they want.

Heck 73% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

McCain/Palin in a landslide. Not a Reagan landslide but one nonetheless. Otherwise, there will be rioting in the streets.

Scenario 1) Obama wins; rioting in the streets (ala Chicago Bulls championships)

Scenario 2) McCain wins but only by small margin. Rioting in the streets from people who’ll claim that there was massive voter fraud

Scenario 3) McCain in a landslide. Still rioting but not as bad. “The republicans obviously aren’t smart enough to cheat THAT much.”

If the Dems lose or win there will be rioting in the streets. Sad but true.
