Okay, go ahead and quit us and do your watering, but don’t “link” out there. ;-)

Oh, you have that right! I spend a good amount of time in the field, and even here in Wisconsin we've got them (WI DNR Cougar Page). Strange as it sounds, they're actually native to WI. I have yet to see any sign where I'm, but I never go into the field unarmed.

I’ll probably “leak,” like my ancient water hoses.

It’s okay, as long as some critter don’t get in my way.

The biggest worry I have is the skeeters. They are pure terrorists.

I have found many small droppings from some small animal while doing these. I pondered this Saturday night, wondering what it is.

I have a LOT of frogs here, probably some endangered ones. I have no problem with that. But whatever it is that is eating my frogs — if it jumps me I may start shooting!!! It’s dark here now, I piddled around and now have to go out and water my precious flowers/veggies at night. I’ve done this before, don’t bother me. I’ve heard/seen some of the greatest sights doing this.

If a bear comes my way, I’ll leave it alone, long as it gives me the same consideration. Bears are NOT endangered here!!!

Yeah, it did and I apologize for being a part of it. I’m still glad you found a source, I looked a couple days and never did find one, just a link only or a radio piece with a couple lines.

Might I suggest doing a google search before posting?

Only Disney movies claim that wolves have never killed anyone in America. But Disney is mere HollyWeird, and the real world has examples of predators like wolves, bear, and cougar attacking, killing, and eating humans.

Allowing Americans to be armed when on all state and federal lands would rapidly return us to the pre-enviroMental era when predators knew their place on hte food cahin.

Since you probably are unfamiliar with man’s place on the food chain, he is the top predator WHEN ARMED.

When man is not armed, man is food for predators.

Summation: When gunpowder speaks, beasts listen.

The native Idaho wolves were 45-60 lbs. The Canadian wolves introduced into Yellowstone are 120+ lbs.

No aplology needed. It is good to help each other.

The enemedia does not like to report inconvenient information like “ predators kill humans. “

Like BO’s 57 states, the enemedia is very silent.

I think people conveniently forget that aggressive wild animals can be extremely dangerous.

Besides the mountain lions and wolves mentioned in this message thread, one animal that people should be aware of are mute swans, especially during period when new cygnets are born. They're not small water fowl, and both cobs (male swans) and pens (female swans) weighing over 20 pounds can cause very serious injuries or even death in a few cases defending their nesting sites in a very aggressive manner. Methinks the Left have been watching a few too many performances of Swan Lake to realize how dangerous mute swans can be.

“Nowojski’s estate was issued a citation for unrestrained release of greenhouse gases without purchasing carbon credits.” Okay, it didn’t happen, but you know it’s going to once Gore’s candidate Obama gets the White House.

Stray dogs killed a woman jogger in a Chicago suburb about 5
years ago. She was in a forest perserve early one morning.

Sad...but no great shock to me.
It's been maybe 5-10 years ago...but I think The Tulsa World
reported that a homeless man had been killed by two feral dogs.

AND...
I admit that the one time I felt FEAR during my tour of West and
South-Central Los Angeles during 1995-2005...
was encountering yuppies walking their pit bulls in South Campus
of UCLA.

"Environmentalists from around the West were outraged. Some even called the Robinetts with death threats."

I wonder if such belligerent behavior might sometimes be related to the meth zombie problem. The West needs hunting seasons for those, too, IMO. ;-)

Excluded from this chatty outdoornewsdaily.com article - “Here are some tips to protect yourself, your family and pets:” Please add: Carry a gun. Shoot all cats on sight. Then shovel and shut up. Better yet, defecate and urinate on the carcass; it will help Mr. Kitty’s dim-witted friends understand who the top predator is.

Possible bumper sticker: Save the Big Cats - shoot the dumb ones on sight.

If you started shooting them you would find the attacks would die down. You see, you are just showing them that you are a legitimate part of their food chain. I guess Californians are just lower than cougars on that list.
