The nation's largest group of psychologists scrapped a measure Sunday that would have prohibited members from assisting interrogators at Guantanamo Bay and other U.S. military detention centers.
Jolly good! So "we" now get to use psychologists who are not part of the APA - or better yet - psychologists from...Syria....Iraq.....Yemen...Jordan.....Turkey...South Korea! (ding ding ding, we have a many winners! Foreign contract psychologists, doing the jobs Americans won't do !)

There is so much that is wrong with this issue and this article.
First, it would be a policy change and not a law, and therefore would be unenforceable.
Second “violators could be expelled”? Bullsh*t.
Third: If psychologists are removed “people could die”? OF what? Boredom?
Fourth: Psychologists are quacks anyway.

"If psychologists have to be there so detainees don't get killed, those conditions are so horrendous that the only moral and ethical thing is to leave," said Laurie Wagner, a psychologist from Dallas. Dear Laurie, the terrorists will be happy to assist you in shoving your moral and ethical approach to dealing with them where the sun don't shine.
Then they'll saw off your fool head.

“If we remove psychologists from these facilities, people are going to die,” said Army Col. Larry James, who serves as a psychologist at Guantanamo Bay.
Is he implying that interrogators are going to start killing detainees if a psychologist isn’t there? Or am I just missing something due to lack of coffee in my system? Or...more likely, I’m just getting my hackles up because my darling hubby is an Army Human Intelligence Collector (interrogator).
