After my article exposing the farce of our Kosovo mission ran in American Legion Magazine last month, I heard from a soldier in Kosovo who was incredulous that someone was actually and finally talking about the region. I proceeded to publish two letters from him in this space, about his experiences and observations there, some of which confirm the free run that jihadists have in Kosovo, the fact that Albanians are being radicalized, and the notion that we should not have intervened in Kosovo as we did. Only there since November, the National Guard soldier stopped short of confirming the ethnic cleansing and slow genocide of Kosovos Christians that Ive described in my articles.
Unfortunately for the deniers, the facts are also now chronicled in a book by a UN worker, entitled Hiding Genocide in Kosovoa Crime Against God and Humanity. ....

I have been flamed for my opinion on this before, but clearly we fought on the wrong side.
Their unit got rotated out in record time.
IIRC, your opinion is shared by one of the US generals after the fact, his name escaping me. I share it too and did when the Cleaning Lady and Sink Emperor delisted the KLA as a terrorist group and made the drug dealing, human trafficking sack of Streisand our “ally”....
on a table full of major issues throughout the world, Kosovo is a mere crumb, so unimportant when compared to the future of world as seen through todays prism.
it was a mistake to be involved in the Balkans during Clinton years, as it was clearly for the Europeans to handle, not the US. We had no dog in that fight.
Someone please answer why? - tis confusing
The Europeans dropped the ball.
As a consequence of our involvement, however, the situation is more or less stabilized, with the majority of ex-Yugoslavia on its way to EU and NATO integration.
As can be seen from the continual whining and carping here on FR, the Serbs aren't happy with how things turned out, but that's pretty much a historical thing with the Serbs, given the mismatch between their aims, rhetoric, and capabilities.

So no matter that we break the armistace that ended the month and a half long bombing and give Kosovo to ethinically cleansing Muslims that we helped by not acting as real peace keepers, as they burn centuries old Churches and Monasteries?
What drek, perhaps I could get my three year old cat to make you look foolish and uninformed, but you proabably would be overmatched.
I confess it never occurred to me at the time that we would be at war with Islam. However, it did occur to me that it was wrong to bomb Christians who were engaged in a century old conflict with their muslim neighbors. Especially when the Serbs were our WWII allies and helped our downed pilots while the Albanians were a particularly nast group of SS members.
Of course you could - as a matter of fact, having your cat take your part in any further discussion is probably your best bet.
I still don't think we should have fought in WWI but that's a discussion for another day.
Russians were knocked-out of the WWI by their own allies Britts and French so they wouldnt shere the cookie after the war, and they needed fresh meat to keep fighting enough for Germany to Surrender. Months before US entering the war it was clear that Germany lost.
Even Serbs on Salonica front were prohibbited by Allies to advance before 1918.
Indeed, my cat seems more informed and better oriented than well, we both know who.
You seem to think that somehow it is a wonderful thing that the rest of yugoslavia has or will join the EU, well that’s real nice, now we may as well start a Sharia oriented terrorist and drug smuggling infected country by stealing Kosovo from Serbia and handing it over to muj’s who ethinically cleansed the region.
Yep, genius, I shall email you your Mensa membership forthwith for such striking insight and sound judgment.
During clinton's first term I spent some time in Germany. (Our little $90 million company was bought by Robert Bosch Gmbh) As we got to know each other a bit we fell to discussing geopolitics. I will never forget the older, WWII vintage, Germans. To a man they all opined that it is crazy to fight in the Balkans, you can never win, you'll get bogged down and they will bleed you dry. They also said they thought clinton a buffoon, to which we all cheerfully agreed. Prosit, I caught the next round.

GtG
PS They have a drink, grappa, I think it's leftover V-2 fuel! They say it's for invalids and old men. I think it makes old men into invalids! Avoid it at all costs!
Ahhh, Kosovo...an endurding gift from Bill Clinton.
“As can be seen from the continual whining and carping here on FR, the Serbs aren’t happy with how things turned out, but that’s pretty much a historical thing with the Serbs, given the mismatch between their aims, rhetoric, and capabilities.”
The Serbs have long memories. When the Turks invaded, they fought heroically, while the Bosnians rolled over and joined the Caliphate. I don’t blame the Serbs for their distrust one bit, especially in light of the war we’re fighting now.
Yeah, well, "Europe, whole and free" has only been our stated policy since 1989.
we may as well start a Sharia oriented terrorist and drug smuggling infected country by stealing Kosovo from Serbia and handing it over to mujs who ethinically cleansed the region
Right.
Or we could just continue our present policy and chuckle when ill-informed posters prove that their cats would be more capable of discussing the issue than they are.
So do us both a favor and put your cat on, would ya?
“So do us both a favor and put your cat on, would ya?”
I would but my cat thinks that you are so debased that he won’t lower himself to post with such a colossal moron.
And their list of enemies reflects that - it's not just the local muslims the Serbs are perpetually pissed off at - they've got beefs with the non-Muslim Albanians, the Croats, the Slovenes, the Germans, the Hungarians, the Romanians, and now, the Macedonians and the Montenegrins.
Given the Serb way, vs. that chosen by, say, the French and Germans, the Serbs are more victims of their long memories than anything else.
We are still in Kosovo??
I distinctly recall clinton saying we would be there 6 months.
/s
my only experience with Germany was during the ‘72 Olympics in Munich. The dark beer, sausage and oompa music is a lasting memory.
Re#10 Yep. I more I learned about it (e.g. the “ethnic cleansing” lies) the sicker I got. And as you note, WWII allies to boot....
"Grappa" is actually orginally Italian and is famously made in the Veneto region around Venice, where I will be next month. Serbs also have a version of it called, "Lozovac". Great stuff -- and if you started with wine and go to grappa, it won't make you sick from "mixing drinks" since both are made from grapes!
Yes, and he also said, "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman!"
And we continue to back our ethnic cleansing of Kosovo Christians”:
AKI Kosovo: UN official sparks Serb protest for decision on usurped

ADN KRONOS INTERNATIONAL (ITALY)
Kosovo: UN official sparks Serb protest for decision on usurped property
Belgrade, 6 August (AKI) - The chief of the United Nations administration in
Kosovo (Unmik) Joachim Ruecker has triggered a wave of protests by Belgrade
officials and Kosovo Serbs for suspending a decree on the return of usurped
property to their legal owners.
Ruecker, who has wide arbitrary powers in Kosovo, which has been under UN
control since 1999, last October ordered a special commission for the return
of property to process some 25,000 cases of usurped property.
But last week he abruptly suspended the decision.
Ruceker said the suspension was of temporary nature, because there was no
agreement between all interested parties - in particular the Kosovo
government and the international community on how to handle the problem.
Over 200,000 Serbs have fled Kosovo since the province was put under UN
control and their apartments, homes and land have in most cases been seized
by the provinces majority ethnic Albanian community.
Serbian deputy minister for Kosovo, Dusan Prorokovic, said Ruecker’s
decision was “scandalous” and the worst taken by the UN administration in
the past seven years.
“This decision in the first place violates the right to private property,
which is inviolable everywhere in the world, and secondly it awards the
usurpers from whom illegally usurped property now can’t be taken away by
legal means,” Prorokovic told Belgrade media.
He said Belgrade should take diplomatic and political action, and even press
criminal charges against Ruecker “for gross violation of international
principles and norms”.
A Kosovo Serb leader Goran Bogdanovic said Ruecker’s decision would further
encourage ethnic Albanian “extremist elements to continue the usurpation of
Serbian property to show who is the real boss in Kosovo and that there is no
room for Serbs”.
Another Kosovo Serb leader, Marko Jaksic, said Ruecker was continuing his
“anti-Serb policies which should pave the way for the creation of an
independent state of Kosovo”.
Most Western powers, headed by the United States, support Kosovo
independence, demanded by majority ethnic Albanians, but the plan has been
blocked by a threat of a Russian veto in the UN Security Council and new
talks on Kosovo status should be held later this month.
Uh, yeah, sure. Tell that to the Christianis in Kosovo who are terrorized on a routine basis (when they aren't killed first).
Oh, and we'll see just how stable Kosovo will be as the radicialization continues unabated.
Hopeless likes to carve up small animals in his spare time -- it's just in his sadistic fascist nature, as a neocon on steroids!
Yes, we will.
And when Serbian rhetoric suffers a complete dislocation with reality, as it has in Bosnia, I expect you and your friends will continue your propaganda offensive nonetheless.
The news media constant drumming on the civil war issue in Kosovo made it necessary for President Clinton to intervene in order to keep their favor during difficult PR times for him.
LOL!
Now that my cat has left...
Does anyone anywhere seriously doubt that stealing Kosovo from Serbia nad giving it to Islamic ethnic cleansers of Christians fromt eh region is somehow a good idea?
Teh Muzzy have burned hundreds of Chruches to the ground while the world did nothing, and yet, in another brainiac move, somehow they should be rewarded for doing that by granting them Sovereignty?
Are these folks so stupid that they forget to breath in the morning and their momma’s gotta give them CPR before their day starts at 11:00 am?
It's pretty much been relegated to a cottage industry at this point.
So, it’s not the size of the problem that should prompt action or inaction, it should be the principles of our construction that should govern our involvement.
And exactly what does that have to do with the fact that Nato has helped create a radicalized Islamic enclave in Europe?
Translation: “When Serbs agree and bow-down to Islamofascists, it will aaaaall be just OK”
Other than the fact that the K-Albanians aren't radicalized Islamics, you mean?
Or were you referring to the Bosnians, who also continue to fail to fit the jihadist paradigm Serbs still try to apply to them?
You can continue to try and confuse Anbar with Kosovo, or Bosnia with Waziristan, but our experience in both places gives the lie to your paradigm.

Hoplite, "Dohhhhh!"
Neither K-Albanians or Bosnians are radicalized Islamics.
There will be exceptions, sure - but unlike you, we, as a nation, aren't stupid enough to base our policies towards other nations upon the actions of individuals or minorities within those nations.
So killing American citizens & civlians on American soil doesn't count -- but how many troops they kill over there (when, after all, we are on their side), is your idea of "a real measure"? What a dangerous & weenie view of the world! Thank God you are not in charge of "Homeland Security", Hoplite!
It's the view of the United States of America, Boka.
Just because you're unable to differentiate between the Taleban, which supported and sheltered Al Qaeda, and Bosnia or Kosovo, both of whom have proven to be amenable to our worldview and policies, doesn't mean everybody else suffers from the same mental malfunction.
And while I can understand how you'd like to base American policy upon the actions of Sulejman Talovic or the Fort Dix 6, it simply doesn't work that way in the rational world, and the sooner you wrap your little head around that, the sooner American policy will cease to become such a problematic enigma for you.
Just what was number of killed American troops at Auschwitz?
So, by your logic, Germans were nice to Jews in Auschwitz, because they didnt killed any American Soldiers there!?
Man... You are pathetic, misserable...Muslim?
Our actions in Bosnia and our participation in the persecution of the Christians of Serbia probably led to 9/11. I believe we will pay again and again for our mistakes there. The Serbs will pay first, in suffering from the narco-terrorists who are confident of our protection. But in the end, God will repay and His justice cannot be deterred.
If that were true, that would make the USA an entire nation of cowards and idiots who deserved to be destroyed -- and that I refuse to believe!
That said, as you know, we very clearly have stated and the Secretary repeated it very recently that we believe that ultimately, the way forward for Kosovo is independence, supervised initially as called for in the Ahtissari Plan.
State Department briefing 8/7/07
There's no longer any rational reason for your "If", Boka.
that would make the USA an entire nation of cowards and idiots who deserved to be destroyed
Interestingly put.
and that I refuse to believe!
And you'll no doubt keep on refusing to believe that which you don't understand or find distasteful. And it'll keep on not working for you in the long run.
Oh well.
I think you've blown a brain gasket.
No worries Bokababe, the cheerleader sounds like a State Dept wonk, refusing to see the forrest for the trees, the commies used ot call such folks “useful idiots” which eventually leads to “useless idiot” status.
This idea that somehow stealing Kosovo is justified because they have religiously cleansed from Kosovo has to be one of the most mentally defcient ideas that has slouched into the light of day in many a year.
And such stupidity and downright ignorance is of no cost to our brighter light, as he cares little for either law, or justice, or even basic fairness.
such people are merely taking up space, of no use to anyone but perhaps the bree and cracker crowd that sips chablis and “tut tuts” through clenched teeth when shown the reality of Christian Churches being burned and the elderly being run out of their ancestral homes.
Such perfidy, would allow the Good Samaritan himself to pass by such mental midgetry and feel no guilt for leaving them in the ditch...after all, the ditch is stable, and may soon be added to the EU.....
