The Farce of our Kosovo Mission
Front Page Magazine ^ | Aug 7, 2007 | Julia Gorin

Posted on 08/07/2007 10:58:13 AM PDT by Bokababe

After my article exposing the farce of our Kosovo mission ran in American Legion Magazine last month, I heard from a soldier in Kosovo who was incredulous that someone was actually and finally talking about the region. I proceeded to publish two letters from him in this space, about his experiences and observations there, some of which confirm the free run that jihadists have in Kosovo, the fact that Albanians are being radicalized, and the notion that we should not have intervened in Kosovo as we did. Only there since November, the National Guard soldier stopped short of confirming the ethnic cleansing and slow genocide of Kosovo’s Christians that I’ve described in my articles.

Unfortunately for the deniers, the facts are also now chronicled in a book by a UN worker, entitled Hiding Genocide in Kosovo—a Crime Against God and Humanity. ....

I have been flamed for my opinion on this before, but clearly we fought on the wrong side.

Several years ago, I spoke with a guy from a Reserve unit from the New York area. When this bunch of Roman Catholic kids realized that the Moslems were attacking their churches when they attacked the Serbian Churches, some of them started getting very agressive towards the Jihadist thugs.

Their unit got rotated out in record time.

IIRC, your opinion is shared by one of the US generals after the fact, his name escaping me. I share it too and did when the Cleaning Lady and Sink Emperor delisted the KLA as a terrorist group and made the drug dealing, human trafficking sack of Streisand our “ally”....

on a table full of major issues throughout the world, Kosovo is a mere crumb, so unimportant when compared to the future of world as seen through today’s prism.

it was a mistake to be involved in the Balkans during Clinton years, as it was clearly for the Europeans to handle, not the US. We had no dog in that fight.

Someone please answer why? - tis confusing

The Europeans dropped the ball.

As a consequence of our involvement, however, the situation is more or less stabilized, with the majority of ex-Yugoslavia on its way to EU and NATO integration.

As can be seen from the continual whining and carping here on FR, the Serbs aren't happy with how things turned out, but that's pretty much a historical thing with the Serbs, given the mismatch between their aims, rhetoric, and capabilities.

So no matter that we break the armistace that ended the month and a half long bombing and give Kosovo to ethinically cleansing Muslims that we helped by not acting as real peace keepers, as they burn centuries old Churches and Monasteries?

What drek, perhaps I could get my three year old cat to make you look foolish and uninformed, but you proabably would be overmatched.

I confess it never occurred to me at the time that we would be at war with Islam. However, it did occur to me that it was wrong to bomb Christians who were engaged in a century old conflict with their muslim neighbors. Especially when the Serbs were our WWII allies and helped our downed pilots while the Albanians were a particularly nast group of SS members.

Of course you could - as a matter of fact, having your cat take your part in any further discussion is probably your best bet.

I have no answer. I wish we would abide by the Founding Father's principles. President Washington warned about becoming involved in the affairs with others and the Monroe Doctrine was brilliant.

I still don't think we should have fought in WWI but that's a discussion for another day.

Russians were knocked-out of the WWI by their own allies Britts and French so they wouldnt shere the cookie after the war, and they needed fresh meat to keep fighting enough for Germany to Surrender. Months before US entering the war it was clear that Germany lost.

Even Serbs on Salonica front were prohibbited by Allies to advance before 1918.

Indeed, my cat seems more informed and better oriented than well, we both know who.

You seem to think that somehow it is a wonderful thing that the rest of yugoslavia has or will join the EU, well that’s real nice, now we may as well start a Sharia oriented terrorist and drug smuggling infected country by stealing Kosovo from Serbia and handing it over to muj’s who ethinically cleansed the region.

Yep, genius, I shall email you your Mensa membership forthwith for such striking insight and sound judgment.

During clinton's first term I spent some time in Germany. (Our little $90 million company was bought by Robert Bosch Gmbh) As we got to know each other a bit we fell to discussing geopolitics. I will never forget the older, WWII vintage, Germans. To a man they all opined that it is crazy to fight in the Balkans, you can never win, you'll get bogged down and they will bleed you dry. They also said they thought clinton a buffoon, to which we all cheerfully agreed. Prosit, I caught the next round.

Regards,
GtG

PS They have a drink, grappa, I think it's leftover V-2 fuel! They say it's for invalids and old men. I think it makes old men into invalids! Avoid it at all costs!

The Serbs have long memories. When the Turks invaded, they fought heroically, while the Bosnians rolled over and joined the Caliphate. I don’t blame the Serbs for their distrust one bit, especially in light of the war we’re fighting now.

Yeah, well, "Europe, whole and free" has only been our stated policy since 1989.

we may as well start a Sharia oriented terrorist and drug smuggling infected country by stealing Kosovo from Serbia and handing it over to muj’s who ethinically cleansed the region

Right.

Or we could just continue our present policy and chuckle when ill-informed posters prove that their cats would be more capable of discussing the issue than they are.

So do us both a favor and put your cat on, would ya?

I would but my cat thinks that you are so debased that he won’t lower himself to post with such a colossal moron.
