Just my two cents, but this whole breast-feeding in public debate really just shows how truly SELFISH mothers are today.
A nursing baby should be at home in the privacy, comfort, and security of its home.
Dragging a child out into public while the mommy does her thing and nursing it there is really all about accomodating mom's wants, needs and desires, not the baby's.
"Here come the Nipple Nazis."
LOL! I had never heard that term until my SIL used it when I saw her over Christmas. One of the other sisters just had a baby and they were laughing over the ""Nipple Nazi" nurses at the hospital demanding that they breast feed.
If the broad protection of "Freedom" were being respected, then this law wouldn't be necessary.
They should really pass a law that says: "Follow the Constitution."
But it would quickly be overturned.
I guess in some places it has even become a competitive sport. YIKES!
I'm thinking it's worth the fine to tell the woman to take it to a private place and/or cover up. Take a collection from those around who are similarly offended and it'll end up costing a couple of bucks each to educate the woman on how not to be rude.
They do it all the time. They're called security cameras. : )
Will I be allowed to photograph these 'boobs'? Can I walk up and ask, "Would you move the brat so's I can get a nipple shot?"
Yo! Rufus!
We are a nation of laws but the redundancy is so far out of hand that breaking 'feel good' laws is almost unavoidable and at times .... enjoyable. :-)

"It's to address that and to allow women to nurse without feeling that they're in an uncomfortable situation," Bayrd said.
So, now it is against the law to look at someone, and if they interpret that look as a "glare" you get arrested or fined?
A law against making someone feel "uncomfortable"?
No matter how a person feels about a mother breastfeeding in public, she already has that right. This thing actually covers a woman using a breast pump in public? Anyone seen those things at work?
Oh Geez!
"Sup. Carousel Bayrd, Madison, who sponsored the ordinance, said it isn't based on any specific local incident of a woman being told she couldn't breast-feed in public, but rather on 'the overall stories of women who have been harassed or glared at or asked to nurse in the bathroom.'"
This particular law isn't even necessary in the FIRST place, IMHO. No one's Constitutional Rights are being violated in the first place. It's just a local FemiGnatzi board member with an agenda.
Neither would smoking bans, gun laws, McCainFeingold, et al
Bump
Nip it in the bud! < /barney_fife>
Webber said studies have shown that exclusively breast-feeding infants can be healthier in the long run, but doing so in public can be uncomfortable.
What about the moms who choose to bottle feed being made uncomfortable by nursing Nazis??
Restaurants and stores are public places? They used to be private property.
"Nipple Nazis"...ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sister, an earthy crunchy liberal type would stand with her legs apart and one fist in the air and shout "BREASTS ARE FOR BABIES-NOT FOR MEN!"
Completely serious...
And I would just laugh and say "Yer gonna have a hard time convincing the guys of that!"
Ross from Friends: It's the most beautiful, most natural thing in the world
Joey: But there's a baby on it!!
