Although the way some women nurse in public can be an issue, I way, way, way prefer even the most egregious breast feeder to a screaming baby.
She has a largish mole on her chin.
Weren't there any Muslims around to harass and glare at???
BTW I have breast-fed 9 children and never felt that I needed a special law to flash my boobs in public.
I didn't see an age limit (I'm 55).
Thanks for the ping!
"a public place under county jurisdiction, such as the airport, the zoo or any stores or restaurants in unincorporated areas."
Dane county must be a very wealthy county to own all the stores and restaurants.
LOL! I guess I set myself up for that one, didn't I? ;)
That's why my business is outside of Madison proper, though we still have the Dane County Moonbats to deal with on a regular basis.
New mommies should never be able to leave the house -- the baby might be exposed to germs, and the general public might be offended by the infant. After all, they emit all sorts of greenhouse gases.
I appreciate women who feel free to flash their boobs in public without the need of a special law. ;-)
Actually, when my daughter was a newborn, I was at the mall and had to nurse, and the Victoria's Secret let me use one of their dressing rooms to nurse her. I had privacy, it was quiet, and a very calming atmosphere. I was pretty impressed.
"I've never seen a woman breast-feed in public."
Exactly. But try hard enough and you might eventually. Especially if you know where to look and what to look for.
I was asking gogeo if he took pictures.
But you didn't answer any of my questions. Are you avoiding them?
:)
That's what the Victoria's Secret offered this gang of 'Nipple Nazis' too...for some reason it wasn't good enough, so they staged a protest.
Ridiculous, IMHO. I'd gladly use a dressing room over a bathroom.
Give an inch, people want a mile...and a half. And them their lawyers want all of your money, LOL!
Why would you want to stare or take pictures?
Why, because I can...and that's all that counts, right? That's the standard they're using.
Would you want to take a situation where no one needs to be uncomfortable and turn it into a confrontation?
Confrontation is the whole point...surely you've read about the "nurse ins" where lactivists have decided to be 'in your face' about their "rights?" I'm not the one who introduced confrontation to the issue. Surely you're not saying they're entitled to be confrontational, and those who disagree aren't?
Do you stare and take pictures of women who are not breastfeeding?
No, but if I did, they wouldn't mind, would they?
I think it's sad that anyone is so clueless they can't keep up. Call it a little bit of political threater, if you will...I'm appropriating their tactics, and following their freely offered justifications. After all, they say it's appropriate public behavior, right? Or is it an intimate moment? It seems to change, based upon what they want to accomplish...
Bottom line, they've said to he!! with my discomfort, it's appropriate public activity...well, I say to heck with their discomfort, taking pictures is appropriate public activity.
So, which way do you say breastfeeding is? Appropriate public behavior (as long as it suits their purposes) or not? Does their discomfort count, just not mine?
They've politicized the issue, not me...as more than one poster has said, if they were discreet, no one would care, and we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Whay say ye? I answered your questions, answer mine...if you can.
Now that you have revealed your nature to me, I have neither the time nor inclination to indulge you further.
ROFL!!!
Like I thought...you didn't want any part of that...
