Don't forget our troops. They have Muslim allies they are working with in the field. Don't stab our troops in the back to come to the aid of a bunch of euroweenie ingrates who will piss in our faces when it's all over anyway, whether we help them or not.

Please do noy resort to such a spurious argument. We stabbed our Christian troops in the back in 1991 when we ordered them to remove their crosses at the behest of our Muslim "allies" when they were posted those nations. It made a mockery of our supposed defense of "freedom" for Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. It also made a mockery of our own values, in deference to the barbaric Sharia Law.

These cartoons are a crucial line in the sand for the West in its defense against a resurgent Islam. A line we must defend with everything in our power. We are ALL troops in that larger war. The cultural and religious war to preserve Judeo-Christian values against Islam is more important that the conflict in Iraq, and may last 100 years. But we MUST prevail. And if we give in to Sharia Law in our own nations over freedom of speech, we will have lost a critical battle in that war.

It's not spurius argument. I'm really starting to get sick of the blindness of Freepers on this issue. We accuse the RATS of saying the "support our troops" and then do everything to undermine them.

Supporting the Danes in their quest for freespeech purity will UNDERMINE OUR TROOPS IN THE FIELD.

That is not a spurious argument and it has nothing to do with 1991 (speaking of stupid spurious arguments). We're talking about a VERY fragile situation in Iraq RIGHT NOW. With our troops on the line, EVERY DAY.

These cartoons not only are not CRUCIAL they are NOTHING compared to our troops in Iraq.

Iraq is where the real battle lines are being drawn.

How fickle of so many Freepers. I want Jim R's opinion on this issue. How sickeningly fickle. I'm tempted to leave this site over this issue, but there are enough other people around here who "get it" to keep me here.

A lot of you are turning into a bunch o' DU'ers, abandoning our troops in the field to rush to the aid of EUROWEENIES who will SPIT IN YOUR FACE for all the help you offer them once this is over.

And you damn well know it.

As for blaming this on the State Department. I bet this was policy from the TOP. So go join Cindy and call for an impeachment.

And please, go over to DU where our troops are forgotten every minute of every working day.

You are right. This was one of the most hypocritical rules.

"These cartoons are a crucial line in the sand for the West in its defense against a resurgent Islam. A line we must defend with everything in our power."

Huh? It's a cartoon, published by a free press. Our government shouldn't have anything to say about it.

Well put. Our "muslim allies" are allies of convenience only, because we are there in force and they have something to gain. And we should never forget that.

We will know they are true allies when they speak out in defense of the Danish cartoonist and against the murderers who want to behead him.--until then only suckers will believe otherwise.
