Never in my lifetime have I seen the United States so hated and despised around the globe. Only five years ago, the world’s image of the US was generally positive. No longer. Thank the neocon cabal that has been running US foreign policy.
But many Americans still don’t know, or care, that much of the outside world sees their nation as a dangerous rogue state, and President George Bush and mentor VP Dick Cheney as the real axis of evil. They are as brainwashed as were Russians who depended on Soviet party-line media for their view of the world.
Every week bring new outrages: legal chicanery by the Dept of Injustice; secret gulags; FBI snooping; exposure of more outrageous lies over Iraq; and sickening revelations about Dick Cheney and his merry band of torturers.
One of the finest and most honorable Americans I have ever known, former CIA Director, Admiral Stansfield Turner, just called Cheney, `the Vice President for torture.’
But the world also needs to remember Bosnia and Kosova.

Clinton used to say "Kosova" instead of "Kosovo". Maybe someone can confirm but I remember hearing at one time that is how the muzzies say it or something like that. How you pronounce it shows where your sympathies lie. Well the author of this article give hisself away with the title. BARF.

He is probably right that world opinion of the U.S. is significantly worse but the way he gloats over it and sounds like he is almost chuckling with glee is sickening.

That's not even an accurate quote. Turner said "I am embarrassed that the USA has a vice president for torture." Hardly the pithy label Margolis makes it out to be.
Turner was the genius that advocated the collapse in human intelligence that has left us in the dark on things like Iraq...which, ironically, leaves Turner berating the administration for 'intelligence failures' in Iraq.
Why US bothered to protect Canada from Comunism?

The reason the world liked us under Clinton was because Clinton was for sale. He was all to happy to put US soldiers in jeopardy just so he could get invited to the right parties in Europe and what not.
He's just repeating what he hears on the news, unless he's buds with Alec Baldwin.
He has no idea what "the world" thinks of the USA.

I don't know that much, but isn't Margolis a Jewish surname? The article is still a bunch of hogwash, no matter the heritage of the author.
