Living wills are not the panacea that the media portrayed them to be during the Terri Schiavo dispute. They are nothing more than a permission slip for authorities to hurry your death.

So what's the latest? Haleigh Poutre, among others, has to fear for her well-being. Will Massachusetts be the next state to dehydrate an innocent brain-damaged person, or will Haleigh be spared?
