H.R. 800/S. 397 to be voted on today! Call congress ASAP!

It is time to pass the Lawful Commerce In Firearms Protection Act, no more delays, let's get it done TODAY!

The House is scheduled to bring up H.R. 800/S. 397 for a vote today. (Thursday).

We need to continue fighting for the CLEAN version of the bill to protect gun makers from HCI's predatory lawsuits, H.R. 800).

It is imperative that you make your last-minute calls to the Hill in support of H.R. 800, especially if you have not done so already.

Please ask your Representative to oppose S. 397, the amended senate version, and to insist upon H.R. 800, which contains no gun control or "studies" at all.

There are several more excellent pro-RKBA bills languishing in committee's, but none of them will ever see the light of day unless THIS bill is passed first.

So let's get this one passed today, then demand passage of H.R. 2088, H.R. 1603, and H.R. 1703.

Passing ANY of these bills would set the anti's back several years, passing them all would set the anti's back about about forty years!

I am tired of fighting from defense, let's get serious and put the anti's on the defensive for a change.

OK, shooters, please take a minnit and call up your respective congresscritters about supporting both H.R. 800 & S. 397. Even if you know they're 100% dyed in the wool antis, you can still give them an earful just for fun. $:-)

This will separate the RINO's from the conservatives. If anything could give us a good template for voting in 2006 this is it.

Can we get a vote count after the vote is taken? I already know how one of my senators, if not both, will vote.

H.R. 800 or S. 397? That's the question.

H.R. 800 or S. 397? That's the question.

It was S. 397 complete with the asinine Gun Lock provision.

Indeed, I just got it from the horse's mouth. "Commenting on the passage of this landmark legislation, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said, 'This is an historic victory for the NRA. Freedom, truth and justice prevailed, and today S. 397 is one step closer to becoming the law of the land.'"

We'll have to take some solace in the fact that the NRA is still pushing for shall issue, concealed carry privileges, including Alaska's new concealed carry right, in all states, and uniform state law pre-emption over local gun control laws. Here are references about body armor standards which pertains to the other amendment in S. 397 to study ammo and LEO body armor.

It's high time for this law, to stop the back door approach the left is using to deny us Constitutional rights.

Give them the chance and they will start sueing Car Manufacturers over drunk drivers.

Check the roll call. Socialist Bernie Sanders running for the Senate, Jim Jefford's open seat in Vermont, voted for S. 397.

On the bright side, perhaps someday the Supreme Court will find itself ruling that the trigger-lock provision is an infringement of the Second Amendment. One can hope.

Re: The left's efforts to attach the "Armor Piercing Ammo Ban" to this legislation.

During the voting they took a call from a woman in Houston (I believe), that set the record straight concerning "Armor Piercing" ammunition. She stated correctly that if the amendment passed it would've outlawed every "Hi-Powered" hunting rifle round currently in existence in this country.
