A new statewide poll says Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's lead over potential Republican opponent Jeanine Pirro has slipped but still remains strong.
The WNBC-Marist College poll had Clinton leading the Westchester County district attorney 50 percent to 28 percent. Clinton led Pirro 64 percent to 28 percent in an April poll from Marist College's Institute for Public Opinion in Poughkeepsie. The new poll was conducted Tuesday, one day after Pirro announced she would seek the GOP Senate nomination.
A majority of New York voters, 56 percent of them, said they didn't know enough about Pirro to form an opinion about her.
Only 35 percent of voters said they wanted Clinton to run for president in 2008.
Marist's telephone poll of 400 registered voters has a sampling error margin of plus or minus five percentage points.
Please bring better news then 50% over 28%.
That is good news she lost 13% in 48 hours!
this isn't too bad. Pirro needs to run statewide TV ads right away to get some name recognition and introduce herself. what's her website, I'm sending money tomorrow.
50% for an incumbant is pretty good news for us, bad for her highness.
The low numbers for Pirro as challenger just show that a lot of voters don't know her. 50% for Hillary shows the voters know her too well and the only way she can go is down.
Good news. Once Pirro gets out there and starts campaigning Hillary better watch out. This is going to be a great race!
I agree, there is over a year. As Pirro gains name recognition, Hitlery's numbers should slip even more.
I guess this is it:

I agree, and have been saying that for at least a year now. If any opponent gets in the 43-47 per cent range, Hillary will go on a "national listening tour."
Pirro isnt a conservative by a long shot but gettting rid of the beast should be the goal of all conservatives.
Of course, so if we have 462 days till election, Hillary will be -5956.
*****A majority of New York voters, 56 percent of them, said they didn't know enough about Pirro to form an opinion about... *****
She isnt Hillary , What more do you need to know?
I'll give you a hint, Pirro will spend 6 years as Senator she wont start running for President the day after she is elected. You see if you elect Hillary you wont have a Senator for 2 years before the election, just like Mass. didnt have a Senator with Kerry he spent 2 years running for President.Took his pay illegally too.Of course IMO you dont have a Senator now.
Also you will have a real New York resident , not a carpetbagger.
Pirro is a far more dynamic personality that Hillary who usually seems to be bored and/or evasive. And while Pirro's husband is no great bargain, Hillary and Bill are worse.
ok
I would prefer to not have a senator than have any of the four leftist anti-Americans from NY or Mass.
Hillary has had some more plastic surgery done. She's looking much better.
