DUBAI (Reuters) - An Islamist group in Iraq (news - web sites) has said it killed two female Italian hostages in a statement posted on an Internet site not often used by Iraqi militants.

The group, calling itself the Jihad Organization, said it had killed the women after Italy did not heed its call to withdraw its forces from Iraq. A group with a similar name, the Islamic Jihad Organization, said on September 12 that it would kill the hostages in 24 hours if Italian troops did not leave Iraq.

I also really feel for these women and their families. I just hope they were not mistreated (read rape) before their deaths.

What kind of people and religion attacks people who are TRYING to help them???

That is what happens when PC takes control of war efforts.

This is what happens when you introduce civilian relief workers and contractors into an area that is still a war zone. It's no different than sending an insurance adjuster into a house that is still burning to the ground.

No other "faith" that I'm aware of murders women and children in its name.

That seems to be a major tenet of Islam.

Getting that woman, Dr. Germ, or whatever they call her out jail the hard way (execution) might not stop them, but it might make them think twice about what they ask for.

On another thread, yesterday, someone proposed that Westerners in danger of kidnapping should carry microchips so they can be located. Sounds good to me.

In my "perfect world"( if there was one that I had some control over.....)

IMHO, I would put a militia together of about 10,000 Kurds.

I would then tell them they are welcome to a "mudlum" terrorist cleanup, one city at a time,(ie Fallujah, Nadjaf, Sadr-City etc). Our military will be there for "support",(ie to "clean-out" places they find that need "cleaning". )
Their main objective would be Sadr, and Zaqauwi(sp), and ANY Ba'athist "leftovers".

When they are done cleaning up, their reward will be to "apply" any punishment to Saddam that his upcoming trial dictates.

Heck, If Sadr's boys, and Al's boys , knew the Kurds were coming(with our TOTAL backup,) things would get better "really fast",and if Saddam knew that the Kurds were going to get to "punish" him after his trial, I'll bet his "memory" on WMD's would improve significantly......

(as John Huang 2 would say..."..just my 2 cents...")

Women and Russian schoolkids. Looking good, islamics, looking real good

And Jewish moms and daughters. And Jewish grandpas and grandmas, and Jewish schoolkids. And African Christians. Well, we could go on and on.

I've been watching the terrorists do this for so long in Israel, that I knew immediately it was them on 9/11. I've seen the pictures of them eviscerating their own and dragging them in the street. Holding body organs up in the air and parading them around just to name a couple. Alot of us have seen it coming for quite awhile. So nothing they do surprises me.

The only thing that surprises me is that they haven't done scattered suicide bombings here yet. But I do sense that they are intensifying their attacks right now to turn US opinion against Bush, and I do believe they want to pull off something big here before Nov.

We are making a big mistake by trying to fight a war by the rules. The Islamoterrorists will never abide by any rules of civilized conduct. They only understand one thing - brute force! They are not a recognized military force, and as such, should not be extended any of the protections of the Geneva Convention or the rules of war.

It's time to break out the pig fat!

BTW It would be interesting to see the results if one of these women were somehow related to some Mafia Don!

I saw that suggestion and thought it was a good one. My neighbor had those chips inserted in their two dogs. If they can do it for pets, they should do it for people. It would be so simple.

Quote:I'm sure Bush's daily "statement of regret" will put a stop to this crap.

I'm also sick of Bush's "polite" treatment of these thugs. I just wish a politician would come out and literally say we are going to kick some a**.

I would also like to se a mosque bombed for every western hosrage killed.

If true, this war is becoming more savage than anyone expected.

This is nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be by now. Then again it's nowhere near as bad as 9/11 IMO.

They are cowards. They take civilians, now women and kill them. They don't have the b***s to go after the military. It's about time we put it in the media that they are cowards.

OK.

It's about time we started down the path of real self awareness here.

I am a supporter of Dubya and the administration, but this chopped-head-a-day has to stop.

This has been one of the most consistent failures of the admin - to deal swiftly and properly with these incidents. I've lost count of the beheadings since Berg in May. This is inexcusable.

There is simply no excuse for these failures. We know where large pockets of the enemy are - it is high time we decimate these types so that they can't do any harm to anyone anymore.

Clearly Kerry would be worse, but that's not to say that Bush is particularly good in this circumstance. The pattern has been clear: kidnapping, decapitation, then western leaders vow to bring them to justice, then off to a campaign stop. It's hard to see how anyone thought that strategy would work.

I hope someone at the town hall debates confronts Bush about this glaring weekenss - what he has been doing hasn't worked very well. It's time to take names and bust heads.

Bush & co simply have not risen to that challenge. A remarkable weakness of leadership, to me.

That post was supposed to go to Graymatter.

Yes, the slowness in prosecuting the Baathists is a big mistake, then you add the Abu Grahib mess to the matter and we look like whimps, afraid to take the wrong step for fear of losing support at home. Get on with it!

Almost.

A bit of history. Carter wanted to build the NB, but was constrained politically. He had the parts made but not assembled - a bit more......

From
:http://www.manuelsweb.com/sam_cohen.htm
Talks about the inventor of the NB and his advocacy for their use in RVN....

In 1969, Cohen was fired from the Rand Corp. for continuing to advocate the use of tactical neutron bombs to end the conflict. "I lost all my battles," Cohen says today.

In 1979, he was in Paris helping the French build their own arsenal of neutron bombs when presidential candidate Ronald Reagan came through on a European tour. Cohen met with Reagan to brief him on the neutron bomb. Reagan grasped the idea of neutron weaponry immediately, and made a pledge to Cohen, and later a public pledge, that he would reverse Carter administration policy by building and deploying a large number of neutron bombs.

As president, Reagan fulfilled that pledge and approximately a thousand weapons were constructed. But criticism from European allies kept the weapons from being deployed across Europe.

With the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of communism as we knew it, the Bush administration moved to dismantle all of our tactical nuclear weapons, including the Reagan stockpile of neutron bombs. In Cohen's mind, America was brought back to Square One. Without tactical weapons like the neutron bomb, America would be left with two choices if an enemy was winning a conventional war: surrender, or unleash the holocaust of strategic nuclear weapons.

today in Connecticut - they found a baby stabbed to death. I am sure if we examined the typical 38 murders per day in the US, several would have had their throats cut - perhaps there is even a decapitation in there somewhere along the line each month.

I am not disagreeing with your frustration - but what do you suggest?
