President Trump said Friday he is "100 percent" willing to testify under oath about his interactions with James Comey in order to dispute the fired FBI director’s claims.

“One hundred percent,” Trump said when asked if he would give a sworn statement to Robert Mueller, the special counsel leading the investigation into Russia’s election interference.

"I would be glad to tell him exactly what I told you,” the president said during a press conference in the White House Rose Garden.....

I have heard President Trump mad maybe three times since his announcement of running for President, this is one of them...

You could tell in his voice, not only was he disgusted with the Media, he really is angry, and I would go so far as to say he really, really doesn’t like them!!!

This is a really, really bad idea. Trump would be a lawyer’s worst nightmare; impossible to prepare. So impulsive; he says the first thing that comes into his mind. He would be walking straight into a perjury trap.

The last thing the opposition wants is Trump testifying.

He’ll tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And the truth petrifies them.

I really doubt that. He’s impulsive, but time has shown he’s impulsive with the truth.

They’ll never let this happen for that very reason.

Go Donald. No more hide from the spotlight like GWB did at the end.

Look where it got him.

He may seem impetuous, but at least for me I don’t think he totally wings his statements.

He’s an end gamer. Always thinking of the outcome, and slowly but surely working HIS WAY towards it.

Hopefully its destruction of the MSM and the Rat party who have carried on these charades too long in the past....

I agree. They want a “gotcha” moment; and the way Trump speaks off the cuff, they’d try and find any small discrepancy with which to hang him.

Furthermore, the FBI is NOT a separate branch, and it does NOT have jurisdiction over its own nominal chief. It takes orders from the president, not vice-versa.

If anyone has trouble with that, there is always recourse to the House, which CAN investigate, and impeach.

Jonah Goldberg on FNC "Special GOPe Report" tonight blistered Trump for saying this. Said "Bill Clinton got impeached when he did it."

Jonah:

A "Jonah" is a long-established expression among sailors, meaning a person (either a sailor or a passenger) who is bad luck, which is based on the Biblical prophet Jonah.

....This is a really, really bad idea..

.DJT shot from the hip again. He took the bait again.
He should have said, “ That won’t be necessary.”
Any questioning under oath will become a fishing expedition going in every conceivable direction. Think. Then talk.

Truth has nothing to do with a perjury trap. It all depends on what’s in the prosecutor’s file that the witness doesn’t know about.

Trump has plenty of experience giving testimony under oath. He's good.

Now, who is going to be the Congressman who requests Trump to testify under oath?

Both Clinton and DJT were alone with whores in the Oval Office but only one lied about getting a BJ.

He should have said, “ That won’t be necessary.”

As if anything DJT says will freeze the MSM in their tracks. The minute Mueller was appointed Special Council I felt certain Trump would eventually be called to testify.

No surprise that I have a Big “dont do it “opinion. Mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore angry attitude can make you fall into a trap...be it perjury or opening a door that had been shut.

God bless him ..good luck.....this ain’t like testifying in a civil suit on a business matter

Really bad idea. Perjury trap just waiting to happen. He’s got to be more careful. He’s in a kayak surrounded by alligators.

I'm sure I'm going to take more shit for posting what I'm about to, than in all my time on this forum since 1998 -- I agree with you 1,000%.

Let them sit and spin.
