If you believe that some people can create rights for other people, then you cannot believe in the equality of all people.

If you teach that we live in a world in which some people can create rights for other people, you are confirming to the sociopath that he is morally free to kill other people as he chooses.

And if you demonstrate to the sociopath that human life has no intrinsic value, and that killing other people will likely bring him acceptable consequences, you are encouraging him to kill.

I say to all liberals, it is your responsibility to consider these things, and to tak a hard, second look at your political ideology.

Just the other day I was speaking with a Leftist who said that, whether or not healthcare was a right would have to be decided in the courts.

I tried to tell him that this was not how "rights" were determined, but he just thought that his opinion was as good as mine on the subject (and that he was right and I was wrong, of course).

Rejecting the concept of OBJECTIVE truth leads to exactly what you encountered -

right and wrong are just an opinion held by an individual.
Noone’s definition can be “better” than another’s definitions without an objective standard by which to measure it,

so the version of right and wrong that we have to live by is simply the one adhered to by those with the power to enforce their own vision. This is why leftists seek power by any means necessary.

If you get a chance, ask him whether Mother Theresa was a better person than Hitler, and then ask him by what measure. I’m sure by Hitler’s measure, she wasn’t, and what makes your lib-in-question’s opinion “better” than Hitler’s?

I'd like liberals' response to the following: "Do you believe that Obama, Pelosi, et al. have no intention of availing themselves of any medical service or treatment which could not be obtained just as well by anyone else?"

What Obama really wants is a system where the elite can get quality care, while everyone else is stuck with the quality of care available to poor people.
