Just the other day I was speaking with a Leftist who said that, whether or not healthcare was a right would have to be decided in the courts.

I tried to tell him that this was not how "rights" were determined, but he just thought that his opinion was as good as mine on the subject (and that he was right and I was wrong, of course).

Rejecting the concept of OBJECTIVE truth leads to exactly what you encountered -

right and wrong are just an opinion held by an individual.
Noone’s definition can be “better” than another’s definitions without an objective standard by which to measure it,

so the version of right and wrong that we have to live by is simply the one adhered to by those with the power to enforce their own vision. This is why leftists seek power by any means necessary.

If you get a chance, ask him whether Mother Theresa was a better person than Hitler, and then ask him by what measure. I’m sure by Hitler’s measure, she wasn’t, and what makes your lib-in-question’s opinion “better” than Hitler’s?
