Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin blames her upside-down approval rating among independents on one of her favorite foils: the media.
Palin, who serves as a paid commentator for Fox News, said on "Fox News Sunday" that "if I believed everything I read or heard in the media, I wouldn't like me either."
Fox host Chris Wallace cited recent polling numbers from Quinnipiac University that showed 50 percent of independents viewed the former vice presidential GOP nominee in an unfavorable light. Just a third said they viewed her favorably.
"I've never committed to running for president for one and I know that polls are fickle so we won't even talk about the approval rating or the favorability," she responded.
"As for the unfavorable, you know, I don't blame people for not really knowing what it is, in some instances, what I stand for or what my record is," she continued.
Her favorable rating among Republicans was much better, with members of her own party approving of her by a 66 percent to 18 percent margin, according to Quinnipiac.

The media depends upon their victim slinking away, tail between their legs. But I don’t think such Palin is capable of such a reaction.
When she debates... and she will... she will have her Reagan moment.
LLS
As true as it is she shouldn’t give the b@stards any credit or even acknowledgment.
Simple as that.
Of course Sarah has something that Dan Quayle didn't have, and that's the alternative media. She can get her voice out to the public, unfiltered. But the alternative media isn't as large, so she has to work harder at the job. She's willing to do that, and from the polls, it seems she has overcome a good bit of the negativity from the campaign.
I agree. Just stay on message and positive at all times. “Blaming” this or that on this or that is not a successful strategy. See: Ronald Reagan e.g. Shining City on a hill
Palin's policy points are never addressed.
The national media in this country is nothing more than the DNC PR annex. They support big government socialism and deserve to be treated like all traitors are treated...nothing more and nothing less.
This is one her staffers need to put in the permanent rotation. Most impressive spontaneity I’ve heard from her.
Asked whether her family was just going “with the flow,” she quipped: “Only dead fish go with the flow.”
The best line was about how Obama doesnt have any balls..I LOVED IT..she can smack him like no one else can
Yes, Hugh Hewitt’s favorite online reporter was on the list.
I don’t take it lying down. Ask anyone forced to sit in a doctor waiting room with the View blaring on the flat screen. I will ridicule and mock those assholes out loud as I sit in my chair waiting for my appt. I did just the other day.
First I placed my fingers firmly in my ears to stop the bleeding as the two black women chased each other down the hill of grammatical illiteracy culminating with one declaring something or some such “aint go no..” and I let loose with an out loud repeat in as derisive a tone as I could muster “Aint got no”!. Fortunately the nurse called my name next and got me out of there.

defined President Bush and spread the activist DNC talking point lies without being challenged. The White House did nothing to defend themselves thinking it was the "honorable" thing to do.
Sarah should take every opportunity to define the press as DNC activists until they decide to become journalists.
