An Idaho mom says she took her 7-year-old son to a craft store to cheer him up after he was bullied at school. They were having a great time scouring the aisles for the perfect fabric for a new Spider-Man dress she was going to make for him, Piper Phillips said in a now-viral TikTok video. But they ran into more bullying when they got to the fabric-cutting counter at the Joann Fabrics in Moscow, Idaho, she told Insider. The incident led Joann’s to fire the worker for making “inappropriate, judgmental and derogatory remarks.”

Fired for telling the truth.
my son was getting bullied at school, so I took him to the store to buy him a dress....brilliant logic there.
The nice thing about being a low level employee is that you do not have to lie to yourself and the world
The kid being autistic isn’t enough for her to parade him around for sympathy. She has to put a dress on him.
7 year old autistic kids aren’t gender queer, whatever the eff that is.
Welcome to the cuckoo’s nest
It’s not that they can’t, it’s that they shouldn’t. You want to prance around in a dress at 3, whatever, but by the time you hit adolescence, wanting to wear a dress is socially awkward for a boy.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that...
The mom is mentally and emotionally ill. I feel sorry for the poor little BOY.

“....faster than you can say ‘Jack Robinson’”
Since the leftards are against bullying (sometimes it's warranted) then as a means to find common ground, I suggest we bring back padded wagons, butterfly nets and large mental institutions.
They’re just setting themselves up for bullying. Sorry but it’s not the norm for boys to wear dresses. It’s just a fact. But I guess facts don’t matter anymore.
Fired for doing it on the employer’s time and property.
I’d’ve fired the employee, too.
Same here.
As an employee, you cannot say anything politically. I work part time at Winn-Dixie as a cashier. Customers, about Biden and Trump, I just listen and don’t say a word. Regardless if I agree or disagree, we are not allowed to say anything political whatsoever. This worker at Joann’s definitely knew that.
It’s the parents job to PROPERLY guide children and that includes affirmation of the child’s biological sex. Dressing little boys in girl’s clothes is only going to confuse the child. BAD mom.
You get fired for saying something that is true and has been accepted by the world for thousands of years.
““I see who’s at the cut counter, and I’m already worried,” she said. Phillips explained she used to be a manager at that Joann’s store, and while she was there this employee had a history of “saying really inappropriate things to customers and to employees about LGBTQ+ matters and religious matters,” she said.”
And she didn’t report the employee before AS the manager?
Yeah... I call BS on this whole story.
If the employee had a concern about the kid’s safety, well-being then the employee reports the parent to the cops and/or CPS.
Preferably after talking to management first.
BTW, I wouldn’t have fired the employee for reporting the parent to CPS and/or the cops.
