[Flashback from July 2021] Pelosi says Biden doesn’t have power to cancel student debt

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested on Wednesday that people who believe President Joe Biden can forgive student debt on his own are misinformed.

“The president can’t do it,” Pelosi said, at a press briefing. “That’s not even a discussion.”

Pelosi said any student debt forgiveness would have to be carried out by Congress.

...

Biden has asked the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education to review his legal authority to forgive student debt. Decisions from those agencies are not yet public.

“They are likely to reach the same conclusion as the one reached by Speaker Pelosi,” said higher education expert Mark Kantrowitz.

He’s not actually canceling personal debt. He’s erasing digits from some financial institutions books.

As the esteemed Victor Davis Hanson says, we no longer live in a constitutional Republic of checks and balances. It’s a “radical democracy” now, and whatever Biden and his goons want, they simply do. The media cheers him on. The opposition is silent. Where is Mr. McConnell by the way??

I don’t know. This is what I see: “PUBLISHED WED, JUL 28 2021 1:25 PM EDT UPDATED WED, JUL 28 2021 5:00 PM EDT”

But I haven’t had my second pot of coffee yet.

Democrats pretty much do what they want. No approval by the troika needed.

Biden wants the plumber’s daughter to have to pay for the college education of the lawyer’s son.

“Gee, I guess the meat puppet didn’t ask Nancy....”

And to be honest with her, she’s right. But congress can’t cancel a personal citizen debt either. The loaning agencies are financing companies like Splash Financial, Creditable, Citizens’ bank, Earnest, and Laurel Road. None of these are responsible to the colleges or the federal government. They are a private business. So that money still has to be repaid by contract. What Uncle Sugar is doing is assuming the loan for the debtor. So payment for those loans have not been magically cast off into space. And as congress has assumed the loans, it is now their responsibility to get them paid. All they are cancelling is the former students’ responsibilities for them.

If you go down the aisle asking for the donations to pay this bill the federal government has assumed, you’re going to get some blank looks. Then later smiles when they take the money out of taxpayer funds to cover their election year pandering to assume the taxpayers’ debts. How does it feel to be a victim of identity theft cause that’s all it is?

Biden has asked the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education to review his legal authority to forgive student debt.

To be accurate, that sentence should read: "[Senile Sleepy Joe's handlers have] Biden has asked the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Education to review [senile Sleepy Joe's handlers'] his legal authority to forgive student debt."

As everyone knows, senile Sleepy Joe's handlers are basically telling American voters:

"Here's more Free Money for you from the Biden Administration, tens of thousands of (totally tax-free) dollars for you, there you go! ... Oh, and vote strictly for Democrats/RINOs in the upcoming 2022 elections! ... also, Trump is a 'treasonous traitor' who 'took' and will sell our classified nuclear secrets to 'Russia, Russia, Russia!' (even though he's a multi-billionaire) ... Let's go, Brandon!" ...

What is the possibility of a class action lawsuit on behalf of people who paid their college without free government money to be paid for by a 100% tax on congressional salaries and investments?

I'm not sure he will do it. It's his plan. Saw two black females very mad about this on the fake news. They both said whites don't need it. Black females have much higher debt.

This is exactly how the Dems want it:

1. Biden will sign the order.

2. It will be overturned in the courts because he doesn’t have the authority.

3. He’ll blame the courts, and the Democrats will be able to run on the issue again (without having actually done anything).
